We'll meet at Plaza de Santa María, next to the Co-Cathedral, an ideal starting point to enter the monumental heart of the city. From here, we'll begin a tour of one of the best-preserved historic complexes in Europe.
Along the way, we'll walk through cobblestone streets that will transport us to another era, surrounded by noble houses, medieval towers, and Renaissance palaces that reflect the splendour of the city.
We'll discover some of the most iconic buildings, such as the Palacio de los Golfines de Abajo, the Palacio de Carvajal, and the Palacio de Toledo-Moctezuma, which is linked to the history of the Aztec Empire. We will also visit the Palacio de las Veletas, which houses one of the most important cisterns in the world.
During the tour, we'll talk about the different cultures that left their mark on the city — Arabs, Jews, and Christians — and how their coexistence has shaped the unique character of Caceres.
We will arrive at the Plaza de San Jorge, one of the most charming corners, and continue to discover details, curiosities, and anecdotes that are not in the guidebooks.
Also, if you like, we can make short stops to discuss local food and get personalised recommendations on where to eat or what to try in the city.
At the end of the sightseeing tour, not only will you have seen the must-see places in Cáceres, but you will also have a complete and up-close view of its history, culture, and essence… and many recommendations from your tour guide to keep enjoying it!
A private experience designed to enjoy the city at your own pace, in depth, and authentically.
