Our first stop will be at the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, a poignant tribute to the Allied soldiers who lost their lives. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to pay your respects and learn more about the significance of this solemn site. Next, we’ll head to Omaha Beach, where you’ll walk along the sands that witnessed one of the most difficult assaults of D-Day. Your guide will recount the heroic efforts and sacrifices made by American forces during the landing. From Omaha Beach, we’ll continue to Pointe du Hoc, a cliff-top location that was a strategic objective for the US Army Rangers on D-Day. Our journey will then take us to the charming town of Sainte-Mère-Église, famous for the storey of paratrooper John Steele, whose parachute became entangled in the church steeple during the airborne assault.
