What you can expect

  • Discover the wildlife, landscapes, and history of Puerto Madryn on a shore excursion specially designed for cruise passengers.

    Meet your local guide near Piedrabuena Pier and begin with a panoramic tour of Puerto Madryn. Learn about the city’s Welsh heritage, see its most important landmarks, and stop at scenic viewpoints overlooking the Golfo Nuevo.

    Continue approximately 20 kilometres south to Punta Loma Provincial Reserve. Travel through the Patagonian landscape and discover the region’s native flora and wildlife with explanations from your guide.

    At the reserve, walk along a short interpretive trail surrounded by endemic vegetation. Then, visit the panoramic coastal viewpoint to observe South American sea lions resting, swimming, and interacting in their natural habitat below the cliffs.

    Look for cormorants and other Patagonian seabirds nesting along the coastline while enjoying sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean.

    This excursion is organised according to your cruise ship’s arrival and departure times. After visiting Punta Loma, return to Puerto Madryn with enough time to reboard your ship.
