Activity itinerary

Visit the eastern coast of Sal Island and discover Shark Bay, one of Cape Verde's most unique wildlife experiences. Accompanied by a local guide, travel to a natural nursery where juvenile lemon sharks can be observed in their natural habitat. Upon arrival, choose to watch the sharks from the shore or walk into the shallow waters for a closer encounter. As the sharks swim peacefully around you, learn about their behaviour, life cycle, and importance to the local marine ecosystem. Despite their impressive appearance, juvenile lemon sharks are harmless to humans and are accustomed to the shallow waters of the bay. Enjoy approximately 40 minutes at Shark Bay, taking photos, observing the sharks, and experiencing one of Sal Island's most famous natural attractions before returning comfortably to your accommodation.
