“The Pumice quarries: a lunar landscape”
“Salina: the green island and its flavours”
“Pollara: the enchanted bay of the Postman”
“West Lipari: cliffs, caves and sea stacks”
Departing from Marina Corta, we will sail along Monte Rosa and the small village of Canneto until we reach the white beaches, where we can admire the old pumice quarry facility and take a relaxing swim in the crystal clear waters that characterise the area. We will then set off again, admiring the obsidian flow, along the coast of the village of Acquacalda, heading for Salina, where we can cool off with a swim in the wonderful waters of Capofaro.
We will continue to admire the picturesque Arco del Perciato and the enchanting and characteristic Baia di Pollara, made famous by the film “Il Postino” by Massimo Troisi, and stop for another unforgettable swim. At lunchtime, we will arrive in Lingua, where we will stop for 2 hours to visit the saltwater lake and taste the island's gastronomic specialities, such as “u pani cunzatu” and the famous granitas.
In the afternoon, we will sail along the other side of Lipari, the west coast, where the cliffs overlooking the sea, the coves, the caves and the imposing “Petra Longa” and “Petra Menalda” sea stacks make it one of the most beautiful in the archipelago. Before returning, we will end the day on a high with a final swim and a tasting of local Malvasia offered by the captain.
