Know before you book

  • Minimum age to join the tour is 12 years old; infants are not allowed
  • Drinking age is 18 years old
  • Due to a few stairs to access wine cellars, this tour is not accessible for those using a wheelchair
  • Vegetarian & gluteen free, can be accommodated, please advise at time of booking under special requirements.
  • Wines tasted: reds typical of the Chianti region ( normally Chianti Classico, Riserva, Super Tuscans, Gran Selezione, etc.).
  • Operates rain or shine, please dress appropriately
  • Luggage can be stored on the bus during the tour, if needed
  • Return at departure point: 1:45pm for the 9.00am tour - 7:00pm for the 2:30pm tour. To reserve other activities, allow plenty of time, in case of heavy traffic, etc.
  • Visited wineries may vary depending on their availability, etc.; they may be 2 of the following Fattoria Montecchio, Casa Emma, San Michele a Torri, Villa Poggio Torselli, Podere Anselmo, Casa di Monte, Tenuta Capponi, Villa i Langi, Tenuta San Vito, etc.
  • For cruise ship passengers only: if your ship docks at Livorno or La Spezia Port, be advised that the driving time to the meeting point in Florence is approx. 2 hours. Before booking, be sure your ship schedule works with our departure times, and you have your own transport arranged from the port to Florence and back.
  • In accordance with EU regulations about consumer rights, activities services are not subject to the right of withdrawal. Supplier cancellation policy will apply.

Activity itinerary

Drive through the Tuscan wine country while your guide introduces you to the great wine culture of Tuscany, sharing interesting info about what you will experience, see and do. Stop to the first winery and taste 3 or more wines, olive oil... Enjoy a short ride admiring the marvellous Tuscan countryside, to the second wine estate, where a tasty cold cuts platter is served and paired with a selection of wines, olive oil, etc.

This was a lovely tour of two different Tuscan wineries—the AM tour was quite nice to our surprise (wine for breakfast). About an hour & 15 min drive with great views along the way. Red wine tasting, cheeses, a variety of flavored olive oils (truffle oil was 10/10). Ship it home or buy it on property, great for gifting. Huge s/o to Susi & Irene for making the trip so wonderful! A lively group is very helpful as you are grouped in sixes!

Enjoyable tour into the nearby countryside. A nice break from all that walking as well! The wine was delicious, the bus was comfortable (shout out to our driver Matteo) and our tour guide Jason was fun, knowledgeable, and great at getting a group of strangers to come together

Excellent wine tour in Tuscany! I took this tour at 2:30pm, which I thought was the better choice as there was also a morning one. I was traveling from Bologna and spent the day in Florence, doing a morning historical walking tour, figuring that some wine in the afternoon would be a nice treat. Angela, our tour guide was very knowledgable on the area, and we went to two wineries. The first one, Tenuta Barbadoro, is a fifth generation winery where we all did a small tour of the vineyard and then a tasting of four of their wines. The two siblings walked us through our tastings. The second stop was Casa di Monte. This was another family run winery nearby. We toured the area below the tasting room where the wine was being aged, and then had a lovely guided tasting. I ended up buying a case of wine from the second winery! This was such a great tour, as both Angela and the driver Alex were both very professional, all while making this such a pleasant experience for everyone in the van. They even had a great playlist of music for the ride back to Florence. I liked how this tour was capped at a certain number of people and was not too large!

Absolutely great wineries…. Driver was very aggressive driving there and back iIt was raining hard on our way home, we asked to get off when we passed our hotel and they said no, so we walked back a mile in the rain with 6 bottles of wine, not cool.
