What you can expect

Embark on a captivating journey through the renowned Kakheti Wine Region with a comprehensive tour departing from Tbilisi. Begin your adventure at the celebrated Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking warehouse, a cornerstone of Georgian viticulture. Here, you will have the unique opportunity to taste a selection of the region’s most distinguished wines and brandies. These tastings provide a deep dive into the rich flavours and complex aromas that characterise Kakhetian winemaking. Additionally, you will have the chance to purchase your favourite bottles, allowing you to bring a piece of Georgian wine heritage home with you.

After immersing yourself in the nuances of local wines, the tour continues to the charming town of Sighnaghi. Often referred to as the 'City of Love,' Sighnaghi boasts a picturesque setting with panoramic views of the Alazani Valley and the Great Caucasus Mountains. As you stroll through its quaint streets, you will visit key attractions including the Sighnaghi Wall, one of the longest walls in the world. This historic fortification offers not only breathtaking views but also a glimpse into the past of this fortified town.

Your exploration doesn't stop there; the tour also includes a visit to the Bodbe Monastery, an important spiritual and cultural site nestled among lush greenery just a short distance from Sighnaghi. This monastery is said to house the relics of St. Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia, making it a significant pilgrimage site.

Lastly, no tour of Kakheti would be complete without visiting a local wine cellar. Here, you can experience the hospitality of Georgian wine producers and learn about traditional wine-making techniques that have been passed down through generations. This part of the tour not only enriches your understanding of Georgian culture but also allows you to appreciate the craftsmanship behind each bottle.

This comprehensive tour of Kakheti offers an unforgettable experience that combines history, culture, and gastronomy, perfect for anyone eager to explore the richness of Georgian heritage.

Our day trip to Kakheti was absolutely unforgettable — and that’s largely thanks to our incredible guide, Madi. Her energy, warmth, and deep knowledge made the experience truly special. Without her, it simply wouldn’t have been the same. Madi went above and beyond to make the journey enjoyable for everyone, paying special attention to each individual in the group. The road itself became a highlight thanks to her engaging stories and positive spirit. The wine tasting was a real treat — rich in flavor and history — and Madi’s expertise made it even more enjoyable. The stop to admire the panoramic view of the Alazani Valley was breathtaking, and the visit to the church was magical: a serene, majestic atmosphere that left a lasting impression. Highly recommend this tour — especially if you’re lucky enough to have Madi as your guide!

Madi is easily the one of the most cheerful people one can meet. She is the life of the tour. This tour changed the idea of wine drinking for me - I got to taste some of the most authentic, naturally fermented wines, with the views of Signagi hills. Overall, I'm so glad I selected this tour, it made my last day in Georgia special!

What an unforgettable day with Maddie — full of laughter, love, and just the right amount of madness. We had a short but boozy trip through the beautiful regions of Kakheti and Signagi, tasting delicious local wines, soaking in the dreamy views, and enjoying every bit of the relaxed Georgian vibe. One of the highlights was a super fun shoti-making masterclass, where we got hands-on and learned how to bake traditional Georgian bread. It was such a warm, wholesome experience — quite literally. But what truly made the day special was Maddie herself. She didn’t just guide us through the city of love — she filled the day with her energy, stories, and heart. It felt more like a road trip with a friend than a typical tour. If you’re visiting Georgia, do not miss a day out with Maddie. You’ll leave with full hearts, full bellies, and unforgettable memories.
