Nice hotel, but not 5* level

We enjoyed our stay, the staff was lovely, friendly and always willing to help. But the quality of food and drinks was a big disappointment. Food: 90% of items stay the same every day, 60% of those have "flat" taste, no seasoning is made. We we dreaming about good fruits before coming to Sri Lanka..there were fruits in the hotel, but if you go outside and walk 300m you can find a local market with much bigger choice and better quality. Why not give the clients this quality? Drinks: the milk is made of powder (the restaurant manager was very surprised when I asked to have the "real" milk..he actually said "Don't you like the powder one?" Show me the one who does), water is added in all juices and smoothies, all alcohol is of very bad quality and the choice of drinks is very limited. We had a problem with shower in the room, the temperature was changing cold/hot all the time. We reported to the reception 3 times, the staff promised to fix the problem or switch the room. Neither the first, nor the second was done. We agree that concidering the fact that you can eat all day and in unlimited quantities, the price we pay is fair..but since you call yourself a 5 star hotel, please think more about the quality. The country is lovely and will definitely stay in our memory, but not the hotel.

Excellent Hotel ,close to beech ,3 swimming pools,

Pros: Everything
Location: 2 1/2 - 3hours from the airport ,but its worth it
Took me 48 years ,but now I know where one of the best hotels in the world is Food was excellent ,Staff were too, I had a great birthday in the Asian Buffet , Great Service

Das Resort ist hervorragend es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Das Personal ist sehr nett, stets hilfsbereit und hat uns sehr verwöhnt. In diesem Hotel ist der Gast noch König.

Schöne Anlage, wurde ca. im Jahr 2016 fertiggestellt. Die Zimmer waren immer sauber. Die Mitarbeiter sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Immer ein Lächeln und zuvorkommend. Das Buffet war sehr vielfältig und gross. Es wurde sehr viel Wert auf Frische gelegt. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

3 jours de repos avant notre retour

Pros: la situation, les piscines, le buffet, le confort des chambres.
Location: les établissements de protection des tortues. Les ballades en bateau dans un décor de rêve sur la mado river (nous avons vu 2 crocodiles...)
Nous avons choisi séjourné 3 jours au riu à 6 personnes après avoir fait le tour du Sri Lanka. C'est un très grand complexe. Les chambres sont très confortables. les buffets sont immenses et la nourriture est très bonne. Beaucoup de personnel à notre service et pas d'attente pour accéder aux salles de restauration. Les 3 piscines sont très agréables. Le bar accessible depuis une des piscines est très apprécié. la vue sur l'océan depuis les piscines à débordement et les chambres est magnifique. Une de nos chambres située prés de la route était un peu bruyante. Les chauffeurs au Sri Lanka utilisent le klaxon à haute dose et le matin ça résonne. Le manager a été réceptif à cette remarque et nous a permis de garder une de nos 3 chambres jusqu'à 17h et offert les repas du jour du départ pour les 6 participants. Un geste commercial que nous avons bien apprécié. Nous l'en remercions.
