Set in the wild-herb scented plains between the characteristic towns of Pollenca and Alcúdia, this spacious five-bedroom stone villa is a seamless blend of traditional and contemporary with the added advantage of adaptable accommodation to cater for multigenerational groups.

Sitting covertly in its own flourishing grounds of mature palms, cacti, bulrushes and attractive green shrubs, this homely villa takes the stress out of staying away from home for parents with children of all ages, with real run-around room for younger guests and plenty of space for breakfast in the sunshine or a snooze in the shade and putting your feet up or letting your hair down as the mood dictates. A grass border encompassing an alluring pool with sun terraces provides plenty of options to relax and indulge in the far-reaching views across the meadows to the craggy mountain peaks beyond.

The unpretentious interior is decorated in true country finca style, in keeping with the location and origins of the villa. Exposed stonework, chunky wooden beams, hand painted local tiles and whitewashed walls create a convivial atmosphere of traditional Mallorca.  On the upper level, living space adjoins the open plan kitchen and dining area with stone arches, cool tile flooring and lofty beamed ceilings with ornate stone fireplace to complete the cosy milieu. Three bedrooms branch out from this area consisting of a double bedroom with en suite bathroom, two twin rooms and a separate bathroom. An open tread staircase leads down to the lower level where both twin and double bedrooms have their own en suite bathrooms - for those with walking difficulties direct access to the lower level is available to avoid using the stairs.

An ornate covered terrace shades the front facade of the house and with in-built barbecue and exterior dining furniture overlooking the pool, becomes a popular spot to congregate and savour the rural surrounds whilst rustling up a tasty lunch.

A short drive (5 minutes) changes the panorama completely, where one can soak up the vibrant atmosphere within the ramparts of Medieval Alcúdia or in the heart of old town Pollenca with its surprisingly sophisticated bar and restaurant scene. Bustling local markets set up shop in shady plazas whilst narrow streets lend their cobbled nooks and niches to sidewalk cafes which subtly fill the air with heady aromas of espresso coffee and freshly baked bread. Artisan craft stalls laden with colourful textiles, straw baskets and ceramics all blend together to render an addictive holiday aura, that will certainly linger long after you return home.
