The hotel is conveniently located near everything: the metro, the Acropolis, shopping areas, and restaurants. The neighbourhood has a slightly bohemian vibe, which we enjoyed. One tip for those taking a taxi: do not board a taxi unless the driver tells you the fare upfront. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and were charged double the expected fare. The driver became aggressive during the ride, claiming, "I don't speak English, only Greek." It seemed like he was trying to exploit the language barrier to scam us. He also took us through less desirable areas on the way to the hotel, which was unsettling, especially since we were travelling with two women. It's essential to prioritize your safety and not confront such individuals, as you could end up risking both your safety and your money. Always use an app like Uber to book your rides to avoid unpleasant surprises. Believe me!

Nearby Acropolis etc. convenient. Small ac unit that works only when in the room and has a set number to make it cold. Not cool enough. Tv either doesn’t work or we couldn’t figure it out. Overall it was what we needed for our two nights.

Perfect accommodations for what we were using it for. Leaving on a cruise from Athens we wanted a few nights beforehand to explore the city and be there in plenty of time to embark. The staff went above and beyond, including providing us with a couple office supplies we needed giving us printouts for our boarding passes and more. Great location one block off the main street near the Square. Big breakfast was very filling. Reasonably priced through Expedia. Only issue was some type of key card is required to run the electricity in the room and it was removed by housekeeping once and everything was off when we got back. But rectified and no big deal. I would highly recommend the Athens starlight hotel to anybody consider considering accommodations in Athens, Greece.

Hotel was well kept and there are a lot of food and shopping options within a 5 minute walk. Some of the things advertised about the hotel are misleading. There is not a hot tub available there is a patio hot tub in one room. They do not provide a shuttle to the airport, they arrange a ride that I found out I had to pay for once I got to the airport.

We booked 2 rooms for our family of five for 6 days. Unfortunately we ended up having to spend most of our time in one room as the second room smelled of sewage the entire time. We let staff know several times from the onset. Their resolution was to clean the bathroom but it continued to smell after the bleach and chemical smells subsided. The manager, Georgia, offered to change our room the day before we were leaving however we were visiting an island that day. The day of checkout, I tried to discuss the issue with the manager however she was very unprofessional and even placed blame on us for the smell,was very defensive and made the experience very negative due to her lack of client service skills.We were insulted and could not believe she could talk to paying customers like that. We could not stand to use the toilet or shower in our room because of the horrible smell. Although we kept the bathroom door closed, the entire room still smelled. The front staff were using gloves, checking the shower drain to try to figure out where the smell was coming from. We had to shower and use the toilet in the second room. An apology or even recognizing this issue would have suffice but the lack of professionalism and client service skills from the manager made the experience must worse. We did not pay to have this type of experience . It’s unfortunate because the other staff ( cleaning, front desk, kitchen) were kind. I would not recommend this hotel nor will I stay here again.

Start off with saying the staff are very frendly and accommodating. Cleanliness of hotel is great. Location was very good. Easy access to sightseeing and Metro. The family room has ZERO privacy. It has a queen bed and 2 single beds. We were 4 adults travelling as family. This is more meant for family of 2 adults with their 2 kids. Washroom is a glass frosted door and there is no sound proofing. Everyone hears everything from the toilet. Also loud bang everytime bathroom door was closed.
