The room was very run down and not well maintained. Cupboard doors would’ve shut, shelves were falling off walls, tape on curtain rails and walls full of marks / dents. There are also a number of homeless people that have based themselves around the entrance to the hotel making it feel unsafe to enter or exit the building with our children.

The room was extremely hot and with no windows or balcony the reliance is on the Aircon unit to provide calling. Unfortunately, the aircon unit was faulty and required turning off on from a fuse box multiple times to temporarily fix. The air Convience were stuck in one position so after the reset it required having to stand up on a chair and manually adjust the angle of the vents. This meant water was slowly dripping down onto the floor and carpet below. We were unable to sleep at night due to the heat.

We stayed one night with our three young children and would not recommend this property for families. Reception was unattended on arrival and we were left waiting outside with luggage and kids. The entrance/parking area was unsafe and unhygienic, and the underground parking spaces are extremely narrow (not suitable for an SUV). Property management was dismissive when we raised concerns. Head office, however, handled it well and issued a full refund.

This is our second stay & it was as great as our first stay. A room with a balcony is a must. The others rooms are looking straight in to residential apartments. The apartment amenities & design are basic but you have every, well thought out. Wilsons Carparking across the road for $26 per day on the weekend. A central location with everything just below you on the street. I highly recommend.

Our room was so hot, it was impossible to get a good nights rest, which is the very point of a hotel! The air conditioning is obviously broken, so a temporary arrangement had been made, with ducking pipes running from floor to ceiling in Freon of the TV. The portable unit is loud, and not effective. The windows do not open, so no fresh air available either. Deeply disappointed!

Overall our stay was good and we had a great time in Auckland. But the A/C unit was not very good and could not cool the room, this made it hard for our baby to nap during the day, and for us all to sleep at night. The staff was very accomadating to our needs and were able to move cleaning around our babies sleep schedule.

The room size was nice, it’s quite large with a couch and big fridge. The staff are helpful enough. The stove and dishwasher are very old - we did not use the stove as it looked like it would be challenging to cook with. The room was not very clean - there was mold in the shower soap dispensers and the walls were visibly soiled. The wifi is barely usable due to slow speeds and parkade was hard to fit a RAV4 in. We’ve had great experiences at Quest before but wouldn’t stay at this one again.

Good value and location

Good value and location in the centre of the city. Good size apartment and comfortable. Staff at front desk welcoming and friendly. The carpet in the room was a hit worn otherwise everything was fine.

Loved the view of cbd and sky tower! Nespresso coffee was excellent as was condition of one bedroom apt. We were 2 nights and did not use the full kitchen area. Appreciated the sandwich shop and market downstairs as well.
