Enjoyed our one night here. It is outside of town. We had a room with a lovely view of the water. The room was clean. Comfy bed. Nice outdoor area with chairs. We sat out after dinner. Had dinner in the restaurant. We had been eating so much seafood that schnitzel was a wonderful dinner. Easy to split and ample. Parked right behind our room. Great place!

We booked Silver Dart Lodge two months in advance through Expedia. When we arrived, there was a power outage — understandable — but staff said they were “working on solutions” for dining and to check back. We were placed in basement-level rooms that were clean but dated, with tiny windows blocked by plants and a parking lot view. Once power returned, we waited, then were told the dining room wouldn’t reopen after all, and no food was available until morning. When I inquired again, staff were rude and unhelpful. No alternatives were offered. Disappointing service, poor communication, and a lack of basic hospitality. Would not return.

A comfy stay

Our king room in the main lodge had a pleasant view and amenities we needed. Coin laundry on site was helpful (have change, it costs $7 for a wash and dry). Bed was comfortable, room was a nice size with plenty of space. Overall a great choice for our two night stop while we explored Baddeck and parts of the Cabot Trail.

Nice spot on a hill just outside town. A little dated but clean and with well appointed, spacious rooms. Parking at your door if you’re early to bed, otherwise you may have to park some steps away. Breakfasts in the restaurant were excellent.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice this facility is. Our room had a lake view that was totally awesome. Unfortunately it rained the day we were there but it didn't dampen our experience. After a short road trip to see the Cabot trail, we stayed in our room and enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful view. The room was spacious and very clean. The lodge is short 5 minute drive to Baddeck. Which offers many excellent dining options and is a charming village.

The property is in a beautiful location, overlooking the water. The room was very spacious, the bed very comfortable, and there was a large deck off our room that overlooked the lake. It was overcast the night we stayed at the Silver Dart, but on a sunny day the view would be spectacular. I would absolutely stay here again,

Rooms were spacious and clean. Restaurant on site was nice although the breakfast “buffet” was nothing more than what you get from hotels that offer free breakfast. The price was 18.00!! 42.00 for powdered eggs, cereal and a few other items.Not worth the money.
