I have previously stayed at this property when it was Novotel. While the staff I interacted with on this visit were polite and helpful, they were understaffed at the main desk. Hyatt has done nothing to update the rooms. Water pressure was poor, furniture old and well used, stained upholstery on chairs. In addition, someone was wondering around the lobby aggressively asking guests for money. He would follow guests around until they gave him some money just to get away from him. Where was security? Had dinner buffet and breakfast buffet. Good variety, but when containers were empty the kitchen staff was slow to refill or did not refill at all. Overall, it was a disappointing experience since Hyatt has taken over.

Our one night stay was great as we had just arrived in Bangkok after 17 hours in the sky and were flying to Chiang Mai the next day. Although the hotel is a short walk from the airport, it offers a free shuttle. Our suite 1202 was a free upgrade. It was spacious and immaculate. The walls were thin as we could hear a conversation in the neighboring room.
