Hyatt Regency Hotel Bangkok

I booked two rooms for 1 night for my brother and myself he’s on floor 5 on the opposite side of the hotel and I am on floor 2? If you book 2 rooms on the same booking why are they so far away from each other they should be next door or at least on the same floor. Although clean my room is tired looking stains on chairs and carpet and no coffee machine like my brothers room has.

This property is an aging beauty queen. The property and rooms seem initially impressive with all the amenities found in better hotels. However, you quickly realize that the rooms, in particular, need updating. I'm surprised that Hyatt would allow this facility to deteriorate like this.

Its luxury but old luxury. Slightly worn down. I was there just a couple hours to wait for my flight next morning. Great shower. Good bed. Quiet. Free shuttle from the airport in and out. Would stay there again for the same purpose.

I loved everything about this hotel from the great location, the beautiful decor, the amazing breakfast buffet with lots of A-la-cart options, the super friendly staff, the roof-top infinity swimming pool and our beautiful 3-bedroom suite was PERFECT. Also the area the hotel is located in was so much fun, we had a GREAT time in Ho-Chi-Minh City :)

Room for Improvement

This hotel has a very nice lobby with nice restaurants and welcoming staff. It gives the impresesion of a high-end hotel upon arrival. Unfortunately, the room had some unsightly signs of wear and tear, and the lighting system in the room was defective. There was a visible stain on the carpet and a crack in the bathroom sink. I am not sure I would stay here again, unless they renovated and upgraded the guest rooms.

Proximity to airport can’t be beat. Easy shuttle to and from the airport. Good dining options. The room itself left much to be desired. Its decor was dated and it had a very misty smell that didn’t go away when the AC went on. Was only there for 6 hours before a long flight so didn’t raise the issue.

Public areas all good, check in desk is bizarrely placed as far away as possible from shuttle drop off which is mildly annoying. Room was in poor condition, very smelly, noisy air conditioning. Well overdue for renovation. I’m guessing proximity to the airport and Bangkok traffic will keep guests coming, no matter what.
