Clean room, nice amenities, great bed and the staff were super helpful. Room service was punctual and the Mediterranean wings and the pizza were delicious. Great location...just around the corner from the cathedral of Barcelona. Such a cool vibe in the plaza and surrounding area. Found myself wondering the side streets and checking out the musical performances outside the Cathedral and then going back to the hotel to have a glass of wine at the hotel bar/restaurant. Would recommend this boutique hotel. Be sure to sign up for the Catolonia Hotel Rewards in advance.

One of the elevators was periodically malfunctioning, required climbing a flight of stairs. Unfortunately, there was ongoing paving reconstruction going on throughout our stay, which was very noisy and disruptive.

Good things: amazing location, helpful front desk staff, great for an early morning run, much quieter than anticipated. Clean rooms, let us leave our bags at the front after checkout time while waiting for our cruise. Not so good: the area around the pool needed picked up, it was quite freezing (not advertised as heated so this is fair, just something to be noted), and the lift wasn’t working. I did feel that for the price we paid a working lift should have been present, or some sort of compensation like a drink or breakfast voucher for the fact that it wasn’t, but overall lovely and a good experience.

Lovely little hotel in a great location and easily walkable to all the major attractions surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants. Although the hotel is in a busy area the interior of the hotel is very quiet. However screaming children can still be heard in the room. Room is small (standard) and well appointed. We felt cleanliness was an issue with crumbs on the carpet, long hair in the washroom and bed linens and flies (about 6 which I killed) in the room when we checked in. The bed is fairly comfortable but pillows are not. The bathroom needs TLC however the shower is AMAZING. Great water pressure. There is no soundproofing from the bathroom to the bedroom so travellers sharing should be very intimate with each other’s personal sounds and smells. Wifi is good and staff were efficient. Breakfast - GREAT. Quality of food is excellent with good selection. Baked goods are fresh with lots of healthy options including fresh squeezed OJ and soy selections.

We loved our stay at this hotel and can’t wait to be back. Very clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff, located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter by the cathedral. Plenty of great shopping and restaurants around. Good lighting in the room at night. Nice shower. Room was a decent size. It’s located close to the metro within 5 minutes of walking to the station.
