This is really a superb hotel. I think it used to be a Ritz Carlton and it certainly lived up to up to Ritz Carlton standards and actually surpasses some of the Ritz hotels I have stayed at in past years. The rooms are excellent. The location is great. There’s a concierge always available and always helpful as are the rest of the staff.

Our room upgrade didn’t feel like an upgrade. While it was a suite, we would have preferred the room we booked as we had stayed here before and liked that type of room. The suite we received had a goofy bathroom, the shower was unpleasant. But, the staff was extremely pleasant and the hotel was as beautiful as always. The bed was comfortable and that’s a crucial piece.

They made my stay in Barcelona. I absolutely loved they way they treat you here. The attention to detail, very courteous, very respectful, beautiful staff and hotel. They explain safety measures in Barcelona, they offer dining suggestions, you can also book excursions directly with them. I really felt like I was getting the royal treatment here. The hospitality here was really the best part- everyone was just so gracious and lovely. The hotel was beautiful and we kept finding unique areas of the hotel we didn't know were there and they were all so cute and beautiful. My favorite was the dining area on the rooftop- just so elegant. My one tiny complaint was that the pool was not heated so it was too cold for a dip but I could have researched that ahead of time. 5 stars all around

El Palace Hotel is one of the best hotels we have ever visited. I don’t know where to begin. Every single corner of this hotel is stunning, the staff is wonderful, our room was so lovely and clean and the breakfast was glorious. We are returning to Barcelona and the main reason is this hotel. What a gem. We were so sad to leave.
