Good location and good value hotel

Stayed for 2 Nights at the Howard Johnson Paragon. The hotel is in a busy location opposite Beijing Railway Station with plenty of shops and fast food restaurants nearby. Tianamen Square is two stops by metro. I walked the distance there in about 30 minutes. Check in was fairly quick. The room was a good size and had a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and two bottles of water each day. I didn't have the breakfast as it was quite expensive at 108 Yuan and there's plenty of other places to eat nearby. The hotel has a gym which was good in terms of hotel gyms. There are some outside tennis courts, as well as an area you can sit outside, on the fifth floor. The wifi was okay for sending e-mails and using whatsapp but it wasn't any good for downloading. The Paragon hotel wasn't as good as the first hotel I stayed at in Beijing (Emperor Qianmen, which had a rooftop pool and included breakfast) though it was almost half the price. For the money, this is a nice hotel and the location is good.

very clean and staff helpfull.

would certainly recommend this hotel,all staff were on the job at all times,room cleaned everyday and checked by their boss and bar staff friendly,prices a little high but in a relaxed and smart lobby area.

Excellent Location

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have no problem in recommending it. The location is ideal for business or pleasure.
