MY FAVOR HOTEL

THE HOTEL ROOM IS VERY BIG. THE RESTAURANT FOOD IS GOOD. FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL IS RMB62 BY TAXI. YOU CAN GO TO THE SUBWAY STATION BY TAKING BUS # 3 LOCATED ON THE MAIN ROAD OUTSIDE THE HOTEL. WILL COME BACK NEXT TIME. AIR CONDITIONING IS GOOD .

This hotel is just average, nothing too special. Location is great for restaurants, subway is 15 minutes walk away. Room is large, can be updated, bed is comfortable. AC didn't work on my first night, but then it was fixed. There is a guy standing right next to the elevator and watch everyone get in and out, and even questioning me whether I live in the hotel! I absolutely hate that, it is a hotel, not a prison! Check out very slow! Overall fine but won't stay there again.

Trendy Tangram

We arrived at the hotel after three attempts to get directions from reception by phone from the so called nearest station; nearby Hilton gave us a map print out showing it in chinese 6 of us in two taxis later found it.Location is not really close to much and the metro stations a good 20 minutes away.Even allowing for the lack of english front of house staff were not helpful. Asked desk staff on phone for the name of the nearest metro thinking we may have gone to the wrong station answer sorry i don't know..The hotel itself is good rooms fine but don't get downstairs ones no view.Location out of the way a few restaurants a seven 11. tried to get directions to walk to Sanlitun twice but gave up;for six of us didn't want to take a taxi have . liked this hotel its trendy modern interior pricing but staff at reception really ruined it for us.

Pros Close to metro, resto, convenient store, short distance to Sanlitun shopping Cons Staff barely speaks English Cleanliness is not at the level we are accustomed to but really could be improved (dusting, bathroom toilet seat had yellow crud on it from our arrival to departure

Good stay

A good no frills business hotel that offers good value for money. Stayed here for 4 nights and its a basic hotel with clean rooms. Location is not bad...next to the International SOS hospital. There is also 7-11 around the corner. Since cabs are cheap and reliable in Beijing and I could get cabs to go from the hotel to most places. I would consider staying here again. The only downside for me was that they do not provide Iron and iron board. There is a self service laundromat situated in the hotel and therefore I had to go there to iron my clothes...not a negative but something that I would expect to have in a business hotel is an iron and ironing board.

Modern, clean & spacious for the price

I had an XXL room and it was huge - but peered into the standard rooms, and even those were comfortable. Not the usual cramped spaces you get from similar priced hotels. Design was unique and modern; room was clean & bright. Location was perfect for me, but a bit far from the subway for the first time visitor. Close to the airport expressway - which is great, given Beijing's traffic.

Comfortable room

Comfortable room - it is better if you have the reasonably priced breakfast included. Most of the staff just speak Chinese. This hotel is right beside the SOS International Hospital so if you are trying to get a taxi back to the hotel mention the hospital because most taxi drivers have not heard of this hotel.

Modern and clean hotel

Great service from the hotel manager when our booking hadn't come through the system yet, but still reassured and promised to check us in. Room was modern and clean. Location is a little far from the train station, but otherwise around a 10-15 minute walk to the Sanlitun area.

Not worth the money paid for.

Not a good place to stay. it is a boutique budget with cheap renovation. For the money paid, not worth the money paid for for such a hotel. Too expensive maybe for the location is what you paid for. The room furnishing (walls) too thin. can hear sounds everywhere. cannot get a good sleep. Do stay away from this hotel, not stay there if you have a choice.

Great value for money

I was initially concerned about staying in this area as there is not much going on but it is only about a 5 minute cab ride to Sanlitun and was very easy to get cabs as it's on the other side of town. Room was brilliant, very clean, good decor and spacious. Yes the walls are thin but just take earplugs, it didn't bother me. Really good value for money for the price, I would stay there again.

Good hotel, great facilities

We enjoyed our stay here for 3 days, what impressed me a lot was the self-laundry service for RMB 30 and you can wash as many clothes as you can. But the problem is the sound proof of the room. This will impact a lot if your neighbor makes a big sound. But generally, this is a very good hotel for a short stay.

Nice extra large rooms

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Nice service. Very friendly attitude.I liked the showers. There is a large breakfast selection, but the quality of western food could be a litlle improved. Hotel is a little away from the metro (10 min walk) and this makes it a bit difficult to reach it.

Clean and modern but walls are paper-thin

The hotel is located quite good especially for business. Its modern and stylish with big rooms. However, the walls are paper-thin so you can hear your neighbor cough. The english level of staff is just very basic - I needed to print a receipt for the company and they weren't able to understand what I want nor were able to do it after I described in in Mandarin. However, prices are quite good in comparison to the big hotel chains close by.

Tangram Hotel Beijing - An Economic Option

The Tangram Hotel in Beijing is a pretty comfortable option for its value. The location is semi-close to Sanlitun but there's not much around the hotel. The rooms are big but could do a better job in terms of comfort level inside. Overall, a great value if your not looking to spend too much money.
