Wonderful for beach Holiday but isolated.

Pros: The situation of our room was perfect, the beach and lagoon beautiful and the staff friendly
Cons: The food is expensive and not very tasty, there are no alternative local restaurants within walking distance.
Location: The location is perfect if one wants simply a beach holiday, but sightseeing is complicated, as taxis are expensive.
We had a superb time at the Outrigger. We had a beach front deluxe room which was very close to the lagoon, but private ( as the room was on elevated ground and thus we were not seen by people walking along the beach.) We walked by the three neighbouring hotels and saw that the Outrigger was much superior in terms of configuration and beach maintenance. We enjoyed long walks along the beach, snorkelling and a tour in the glass bottom boat. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to visit much of the island but found taxis expensive, The meals( other trhan breakfast) provided by the hotel were pricey and uninteresting and access to local restaurants difficult . It is really worth paying for a beachfront room. The Jardin de Pamplemousses and the Aventure du Sucre were interesting , but most enjoyablewas the Mahébourg Monday market, and the Les Copains d'Abord restaurant there.

Jnkn verran epäsiisti yleisvaikutelma (vanha ja kulunut) huone siivoojien työtilan vieressä, aloittivat jo ennen seitsemää puhumisen ja kolistelun, suihku vuosi läpi vuorokauden, ei korjattu ja suihku putosi toistuvasti pidikkeestään, ruoka oli mautonta ja päivästä toiseen samanlaista yhtä poikkeusta lukuunottamatta, josta maksoimme lisämaksun. Muutoinkin ruoka oli ylihintaista laatuun nähden. Baggage-huonetta ei ollut ja lähtöpäivän suihkutilat huonot.

Alles bestens, vom Essen bis zur Unterkunft. Freundliches Personal und sehr grosszügige Anlage. Leider war die Strömung im Meer etwas stark sodass das Schnorcheln überaus anstrengend wird.

Das Hotel verfügt über eine grosse Anlage mit verschiedenen Restaurants und Pool. Das Sportangebot ist riesig und wird teils mit dem Nachbarhotel durchgeführt, was einem noch mehr Möglichkeiten bietet. Der Strand ist relativ lange, es gibt ein Riff mit Fischen gleich vor Ort super zum Schnorcheln (aber viele Seeigel, daher sind Badeschuhe von Vorteil). Der Service im Hotel und in den Restaurants ist grundsätzlich sehr gut, obwohl einige Mitarbeiter herausragender sind als andere. Unser Zimmer war sauber und es kam mehrmals(!) täglich jemand vorbei um Handtücher auszutauschen oder andere Dinge zu erledigen. Vor allem beim Check-in wurden wir sehr zuvorkommend behandelt und konnten uns von anfang an entspannen. Alles in allem ein toller Urlaub!

Das Hotel befindet sich in eine super Lage. Auch zum Windsurfen und Kiten. Lange Strand zwar mir viele Koralle aber mit Badeschuhe ist kein Problem. Personal sehr nett und freundlich.

Sehr schöne Anlage

Pros: Hotel-Anlage und Zimmer sind sehr schön!
Cons: Personal ist auch für Feien Verhältnisse sehr langsam, für eine Pizza die 5min. braucht, haben wir über 30min. gewartet!
Das Hotel eignet sich bestens zur Erholung und es hat eine gute Mischung der Gäste von Familien und Paare

Rentoa ja mukavaa lomailua

Olimme Mauitiuksella ensimmäistä kertaa. Ihana paikka. Hotelli oli hieno. Emme tajunneet, että sieltä pääsee vain taksilla tutustumaan muihin paikkoihin. Luulimme, että voimme käydä syömässä iltaisin muuallakin ja ostoksilla ihan itse. Mutta siihen tarvittiin aina taksi. Oma vika kun emme olleet tarpeeksi tarkaan tutustuneet kohteeseen. Ruoka ja juoat olivat kalliita. Kalliimpaa kun suomessa. Illallisen söimme hotellin Mercado ravintolassa ja ruoka oli todella hyvää ja monipuolista samoin aamiainen. Päivällä söimme rantaravintoloissa ja ne olivat kyllä todella kalliita. Hienoa, että hintaan kuului vesihiihto, polkuvene ja muuta aktiviteettia. Meri oili ihana. Snorklailimme paljon. Kävimme Shamarellin vesiputouksella ja 7 värin kallioilla. Teimme retken saareen Ile aux Cerfs. Se oli hieno paikka ja saimme saarella lounaan: grillattua hummeria, tonnikalaa ja kanaa. Maukasta! Teimme yhtenä päivänä shoppailukierroksen taksilla. Taksi vei tietenkin kalliimpiin paikkoihin. Samalla reisulla käytyyn Hindu tempelissä. Kävimme hotellin spassa tyttärieni kanssa. He ottivat manikyyrin, kynsilakat lähtivär seuraavana päivänä? Johtui ehkä uimisesta. Itse otin pedikyyrin. Oli ihan ok. Kaikenkaikkiaan matka oli ihana.Hotelli oli yleellinen ja hieno. Huoneessamme tosin oli joku eläin, joka öisin vipelsi sängyn alla. Emme nähneet sitä, mutta kuulimme pientä kipsutusta.Herätti välillä öisin. Aulan henkilökunta, joilta tilasimme taksit, olivat erityisen ystävällisiä. Aurinkoa, merta, hiekkaa, hyvää ruokaa ja ystävällisiä ihmisiä. Voin suositella lämpimästi.Kallis mutta ihana.

Maginifique Hotel un peu isolé

Magnifique hotel, dans un endroit calme, personnel tres agreable et gentil, service impeccable, nourriture tres bonne. C'est un peu isolé, donc ideal si vous cherchez le repos, un peu plus genant pour bouger le soir. Un petit bémol, les petits à côté sont presque tous payants, et un peu chers comme la restauration d'ailleurs, et les taxis si on les prend à l'hotel. Dommage par exemple qu'on ne puisse avoir de vélo à disposition (location à l'heure...) comme les hotels à côté. Ce n'est pas grand chose mais ça finit par être un peu agaçant s'agissant d'un hotel 5 étoiles.
