It was nice to have a full 1 bdrm apartment with W/D and dishwasher! a block from the beach, and has a huge pool as well. The balconies are large with good views if you face E or S. All units seem to be in fairly good condition, although a bit dated on the decor and appliances. We were there for 3 weeks and had no cleaning until the last week when we received 2. However, it did say only one cleaning would be offered during your stay. We had to track down the cleaning lady to change the towels and get more toilet paper, as asking the front desk resulted in confusing messages about paying for more fresh towels and toilet paper. The cleaning lady was happy to provide more, but you had to search her out on her rounds. This place is very close to grocery stores and numerous restaurants. It's about a block from bus stop and about 20 minute walk all uphill to the train station. We were there in May and at the beginning it was fairly quiet but in the latter half of May things were heating up and you couldn't get a spot at the pool, because people would reserve seats (prohibited) and all would be gone by 10am unless you wanted to sit in the open sun. The pool "rules" are really mild suggestions and no one seemed to pay attention nor did anyone enforce them. So kids were jumping into the pool next to your head and kicking balls at your face without any parents or staff to regulate them. We simply left when that happened and did't want a confrontation. Enjoy it's great!

Dirty rooms and very uncomfortable beds

I had stayed here a few years previously and had a great time with a wonderful apartment so when I had the chance to book again, I did so with no hesitation. I wish I hadn't. I had contacted the hotel asking if it was possible to have an apartment with a sea view. I received a reply saying this would incur a cost of $35 payable in cash at the hotel on my arrival. I have never been asked to pay additional costs for a sea view. When I got to the apartment I was appalled to see how dirty it was. The chair was heavily stained, the floors had clumps of hair and dust in all the corners, the outside table had stains on it and the surfaces were covered in dust. The sofa bed was failing apart and the beds in the bedroom would have been far more comfortable if they had been a slab of concrete with a sheet on them. We visited reception during our visit regarding this but nothing was every done. As we were only there for 3 nights we gave up trying to rectify these issues and vowed never to book this hotel again. I emailed the hotel and 4 days later, I have heard nothing back from them.

The building and apartment are in desperate need of an update. The furniture is outdated and dusty. The listing is misleading, as there’s an additional charge for a sea view, which isn’t mentioned upfront. Parking is not included and costs extra per night, contrary to the description. There is no housekeeping, and fresh towels are not provided during the stay. Guests are also expected to clean the apartment before checking out, or they risk a heafty cleaning fee.
