The design of the hostel was fantastic. The bar was great too. However, staff were rude, arrogant and lazy. Had to change rooms because there was a god-awful smell in ours. Plus towels were not included and we had to pay €4 (non-refundable!!!) Breakfast was also a little bit of a rip-off for what you got. Overall pretty dissatisfied.

For the convenience of our guests who have forgotten to bring their own items (towels, locks, toiletries) we do sell or rent these at our travel shop at reception, it is also notified that towel are not included in dorms. :) We have a great team who do care a lot about our guests experience so hopefully we can get the chance to welcome you back and give you a different experience of Generator hostel. Cool hostel, but too hot!

Pros: Location. Style. Nice and clean. Good bar and cafe.
Cons: Air conditioning! Better sound proofing in the bar.
Location: Museum Island, Brandenburg Gate, Hackescher Markt and the Reichstag are all in easy (under 30 mins) walking distance. Great bars etc nearby too.
The hostel was a really cool place to stay in a great location - just a ten minute walk to Museum Island, 25 minutes to Brandenburg Gate and a station at the end of the road for places further afield. We arrived before checking, and were able to leave our bags in the luggage room for free. When we came back later, checking that was very quick and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our private twin room, along with the rest of the hostel that we saw, was spotless. Comfortable beds, lovely hot powerful shower, plenty of room to hang clothes and enough space for our cases without tripping over them, plus a couple of plugs sockets by each bed which was useful. Food in the cafe was really nice, and good value with large portions. Prices in the bar were also very reasonable, and there was a nice atmosphere in there in the evenings. My only complaint would be that it was absolutely boiling in there. We were there during a particularly warm week, and although the fan in the room was appreciated, we still struggled to sleep as it was so hot. On one of the days, the noise from the DJ in the bar was a bit much even in our fourth floor room on the other side of the hostel, because our windows were open due to the heat. Overall though, great value hostel and would definitely recommend.

Gefallen den Standort und der schnelle Service Nicht Gefallen man könnte alle 2 Tage kurz die Dusche und das WC putzen für 6 Personen welche es nutzen ist es schnell schmutzig auch wenn man es auber hinterlässt sonst ist es guet
