Although the hotel is nice and the room very nice it was a very impersonal experience and on top of that when trying to check out early in the morning the clerk was carrying on a private conversation on the phone in the room behind the front desk for a number of minutes and when i finally got his attention he was a bit rude as if i had interupted him, needless to say i did not leave to catch my flight with a very good taste in my mouth.

Lights not working, no heat nor ventilation in the bathroom and a bed that felt like concrete. Add to that staff that try to squeeze extra money from you for services that are already included in your booking and ignore other included benefits and you get the perfect combination of an uncomfortable stay with service to match. If you have to spend one night at Berlin airport, find a bench in the departure hall - it’s free, just as comfortable and with better service.

While this may seem like common sense for frequent travelers, I strongly recommend checking that the shower in your room is functioning properly before you start unpacking. Otherwise, you could face significant inconvenience. Additionally, if your booking includes a 20% off food and beverages, be sure to request the coupon at the reception before heading to the restaurant. In my experience, the staff did not mention anything during my check-in.

Upon arrival, no one at desk, tried to use self service registration desk - after 3 failed attempts, caught attention of staff on office behind counter to register. Clean room, great breakfast, very convenient location for access to airport Terminal 1.

Taxi from main station unable to get to the hotel because he wasn’t licensed for the airport. We had to drag our luggage 100 m through the rain. No mini bar!! No room service menu!! Ordered food to the room not knowing the price ( food was good, but expensive. ) toilet flushing mechanism was defedective ( water didn’t shut off most times after flushing) .
