This Golden Nugget was not the same experience as others I have stayed in. From the moment we got there the outside staff was rude. We didn’t encounter many workers but the ones we did were extremely rude. We had a large party of 16. The workers on the way to the pool were very rude to us and our children like we were a nuisance. This is definitely not a family friendly hotel. We plan to make this a family tradition but we will stay somewhere else. Altogether we spent between $3,000-$4000 on our stay, drinks, and food. When we were walking to the pool every single worker got on their radio, if this isn’t friendly and children are going to be a nuisance please put that when booking.

The golden nugget never disappoints. I love the room with the jacuzzi and view. Everything was nice and clean. The pool was great and provided pool towels. It's also a swim up bar, away from the kids playing in the pool thankfully. We dined at Mortons last minute and the lamb was delicious. I'm not big on casinos because of the smoking but it seems to be big with multiple games, especially blackjack. The other casinos, dining, and the beach are in walking distance. I would highly recommend coming for the weekend.

No signs to check in desk. Room only had 2 towels total. Called front desk. They never came. Room is outdated and not clean. No fridge. Everything smells the smoke. Shower head is the worst I’ve ever had. Lighting is horrible throughout. The only thing good about this place was Morton’s Steak house. Not staying here again. We usually stay at GN in Lake Charles and it is awesome there. This place doesn’t even seem to be of the same ownership because how different it is. So stay somewhere else if in Biloxi!!!

My wife left 2 items in the closet, a blue jean capri and a print blouse. Those were the only items she put in the closet. The next day when we got home she remembered she did not get them from the closet. She called the Golden Nugget as soon as she realized it to tell them she had left them in the closet. Golden Nugget told her housekeeping checked but did not find them. There were only two items she put in the closet and she knows she left those two items in the closet. But Golden Nugget housekeeping says they didn't see them?

Pros: easy check in/check out, nice pool, great service at pool, nice view of bay from room Cons: hotel hallway smelled like wet dog, no fridge or microwave, safe didn’t work, no body wash in dispenser, ceiling fan made a noise, mattress was old and leaned, no ice found in machine on our floor and two neighboring floors the entire three days there, small sink area, out dated decor, poor lighting in rooms, didn’t like how you had to walk through casino to get to pool, pool supposedly closed at 8:00, but by 6:00 pm they were pulling the pool chairs out of the water and even making people get out of them to pick them up and they closed the swim up bar at that time. (Weather was not an issue!)

Food made entire trip worth it!

Classic “in town for the convention” situation. Ballroom food for lunch was incredible blacken Red Snapper Linguine. Then for diner, 7 oz Wagu Filet with Oysters Dyn-O-mite and a Dirty ‘Mortini’ at The Morton’s!
