A decent place to stay for a night!

Overall the experience at the Beford Plaza was good. We needed to book a last minute reservation for one night without breaking the bank. The hotel does show some wear and age but seemed to be in fairly decent shape overall. Our room was clean, smelled pretty decent, and was quiet. The check-in service was quick and easy. The hotel seems to be located in a decent neighborhood where you can go for a walk to grab a bite to eat or shop without worrying and there seemed to be at least a few options around the area to choose from.

The room smelled like wet dog. We were never told at check in that we werent allowed to use the pool unless we paid extra. That first of all is crazy to me. Then the staff memeber came in the pool area yelling that we didnt pay and we needed to get out. There were children swimming. The rooms had messed up plaster spots all over. I would never stay there again!

Very shabby building needs lots of work but the actual room we stayed in was clean. Shower was in bad shape so we didn’t use it. The staff who checked us in was very nice and helped us find a clean room

30$ if I don't return the key and I have to sign for it? Sure looks like a major scam! Did the garage burn down? It smelled burned and the black dirt from the floor got all the way into the bathroom. Room was nice and clean for the price! Otherwise pretty run down and dirty. Does anybody ever clean the tables in the breakfast area?
