The room was fine, although there were a lot of stairs to go up and down with luggage. Our main disappointment was learning in the morning that breakfast was only served on weekends. As we had chosen a hotel with breakfast so we could get to our event on time, this threw our entire schedule off. Being told it was only a five minute walk to the restaurant was not useful, as we know there's always a wit for a table there in the morning. If you're not serving breakfast, don't put a breakfast menu on your hotel website.

My bed and pillows were very comfortable. The rooms were very clean, but the hallways, stairways, rugs, and doors were filthy. All hotels should provide at least one extra towel as many people have the need to wash their hair, which in my case requires a towel.

First this is not a B&B as there is a charge for breakfast. I love old hotels and this one is a historical gem but needs work. Trying to find your way around the building is challenging because the layout is chaotic. There are several restaurants spread around the lobby with seemingly no central desk. Rooms are small but bed was comfortable. So a mixed bag.

Colonial concord Inn

The Concord Colonial Inn has all the charm and quaintness of a historical Inn, but the amenities and comfort of a modern hotel. The employees were friendly and helpful. We ate dinner at the restaurant, the food was delicious. The Inn is in the heart of Concord and very close to all the historical places we wanted to see. We were also within walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

When I was checking in the registrar was very preoccupied and texting someone. He was not attentive or present. The property needs updating and tender care. The core of the hotel and the concept would be beautiful with some TLC. The rugs in the stairs are worn and dirty.

Historic charm

This is a historic inn in the heart of Concord, which is a delightful town with fine restaurants and shops, loaded with history. The Inn is a little worn in the carpet department but very charming. Main complaint: giant hard pillows made it hard to sleep comfortably.

The location in Concord was excellent - in fact, it seemed like the restaurant was one of the main hubs in town for visitors and locals alike. We ate in the restaurant twice (once in the tavern and then out on the front porch) and it was great! The only complaints I’d have for our stay are that, with any older building, the insulation is not up to par and you can hear your neighbors and street noises easily. The other issue was parking. It was very limited behind the building and street parking is not allowed at night. I’m not sure if there is an alternative lot anywhere else for overflow but we were lucky to snag a spot each night. Overall it was a good experience and we loved walking from the hotel to different stores, museums, and historic spots!

My reception Friday evening was not good. I was not told that I would be housed in the old part of the old inn. On the other hand, when it rained and rained, someone from the front desk went everywhere to find me an umbrella. There was no housekeeping during the weekend, but on the other hand my room was well cleaned when I arrived. The location, in the middle of the quaint town, was wonderful.
