Room for improvement, but still good

The hotel was probably a little too far out from the city centre and not close to either a station or the Citicat. Each would be at least a ten minute walk. The furniture in the room were a little tired and didn’t seem to flow with the room. There was wallpaper hanging off the wall. So it’s needs a bit of maintenance to bring it up to scratch. The food from the kitchen was good and the shower in the room was great. The swimming pool was cold but it’s their winter and the jacuzzi and sunbeds were again a little tired. The havuzxi looked like it needed a clean. So it’s a bit of a mixed bag, but overall we thought the hotel was good.

We only stayed one night after we landed at Brisbane aiport, we arrived after midnight, there was no problem checking on, the night manager was helpful, rooms were large, clean and modern and breakfast was delicious.

Hotel in good location however rooms were dated and not very clean. Our room the wallpaper gave me a headache. Size however for family was good. Things weren’t cleaned properly, lots of dust. Said they provided tea and coffee facilities but no milk in fridge? Breakfast was okay, hot food wasn’t hot and was expensive.

Beds were super comfy, balcony was large but nothing to sit on. Was expecting a room with a view of the river like I saw when booked, but we looked onto the street. Breakfast was average and mostly almost cold. The pastries were also cold and didn’t seem very fresh. For the price I had much higher expectations.

View of the river and the spa was beautiful, clean and breakfast was ok The reception staff could not get the credit card right and charged the $200 deposit that I wasn’t aware of to the wrong card. As that card was a salary sacrifice card I can’t use it for any other purpose. The car numberplate recognition didn’t work so husband late for meeting

Lovely place to stay, nice walk from the train station at Bowen Hills and only 2 blocks from the Breakfast Creek Hotel. We had breakfast included in our booking and the food was terrific, a great selection of food. Nice comfortable bed and a quiet room. We were able to get a cheaper rate through Expedia rather than booking directly with the hotel, I asked the hotel to price match but they would not so thank you for the deal Expedia.

Customer service poor

Customer experience was poor. I don’t like having to input parking details on phone, credit card was charged a deposit rather than put on “hold”, and when breakfast not charged at check out, I was told to go over and get the restaurant to charge it when I had all my luggage with me. Customer service needs refinements.
