The room was clean and attractive. Fireplace a plus. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast and staff there was good. Maid service was good! There is something URGENT, however. We were sitting on the bed Sat(May31) and smelled something burning only to see our right bedside lamp blazing ( actual flames) up. We quickly turned it off and removed the bulb! It had one of those dangerous twirl led light bulbs in it. The front desk seemed to downplay the danger!! They were prompt in replacing the bulb plus the other same type bulb in another lamp. The maintenance man was unaware of the danger of those kind of bulbs. My husband worked maintenance at a hospital and they were required to get rid of all those bulbs because of fire danger! We could have lost everything in the room! At the VERY least , smoke film and everything wet! I shudder to think what would have happened if we had not been sitting right beside it!! PLEASE pass this info on to WHOMEVER needs to know to get rid of those swirl led light bulbs!!!!

Staff were really friendly and accommodating. They were able to provide us with a room with balcony at reasonable cost. We had a nice bottle of wine which was great. The room was clean but there was a bit a urine on the toilet bowl screws. However overall a nice place to stay. And the mountain view is stunning.

Favorite hotel in Canmore! Great breakfast; cookies, wine and meeting our requests. Room service made one bed but not the other. Our last night it was noisy in the hallway outside our room at 11:30 pm.
