The hotel is old, needs to be remodeled. Horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom, and urine smell outside of the hotel. The shower water is either freezing cold, or burning hot it switches immediately, maybe because we were on the 3rd floor. Got burned few times. Dirty cushions on the roof pool with stains. Staff was really friendly, that was the only good thing, and good location but very loud.

Our stay was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay at the Sophia and Cartagena in general. The entire service provided by the hotel staff was perfect, from the young people at reception, to the restaurant staff where we enjoyed our delicious daily breakfasts, to the rooftop service.
