Staff excellent. The location excellent. The cleanliness excellent. The room was excellent. the breakfast I had was mediocre at best. Hashbrown potatoes in the shape of cubes???? Breakfasts should be more traditional. I went up Market Street for real breakfasts my final two mornings. Transportation is a problem. The staff at the front desk should be able to advise on transportation to and from the airport and be able to book transportation when needed. Thank God for Kim who did just that for me.

Unfortunately we booked a suite for 3 people and the hotel did not setup the bed for the 3rd person after being asked at checkin. This meant at 12.30 at night I had to go with the night porter to storage to gather sheets and bedding. There could have been better acknowledgment from management the following day however this wasn’t the case and we were left feeling like we were asking for a lot to have a bed we paid for.

The hotel is located in a great area of Charleston right next to Market Street & the pathway of markets. Restaurants, coffee shops and a variety of shops and stores. My second time to Charleston and first time at Emeline. I plan on revisiting both. Such a beautiful hotel & extremely friendly staff. Food was great at restaurant too.

Hotel Emeline was okay. Definetly not worth the price. Staff was not that nice or helpful. Check in staff didn’t tell us anything about the hotel (where coffee is etc) and no doorman. Check out staff gave us the wrong receipt for the wrong person.The amenities fees and added fees are ridiculous because there are no amenities. Hallways were very dark and very dirty carpet and sink in the bathroom in our room was dripping. Coffee wasn’t good and should be made fresh in the morning instead of the pods. Our room itself was an adequate size and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Overall, hotel emeline has some nerve charging the prices they do for what you get. I would not stay here again. It was a disappointing experience and had much higher expectations.
