The hotel itself was beautiful. The first two nights it was 77 in Chicago and they would not turn the air conditioner on because “they weren’t expecting warm weather.” So sleeping with no covers and sweating after spending quite a bit of money to stay here was very disappointing. That was a huge problem for me.

We stayed at Fairmont for the St Patrick’s Weekend. We had few concerns and the management took care of those. They upgraded our room and made our stay more enjoyable. It’s very close to everything; train station , shopping, etc. It’s literally in downtown so everything were walking distance .

We booked a room with river view or a high up floor with park view (floor 18-36), we got floor 5. Not a great view, not the river, not high up. Also, the there was no ice machine available on our floor which added insult to injury. This was or last trip before we got married, won’t be back.
