This is a nice hotel conveniently located next to the train station. We had read that the rooms were very small so we paid extra for a more spacious superior room. The superior room was small and very cramped. We couldn’t properly lay out our suitcases and we were tripping over each other the entire stay.

This property was okay. The location was great. The decor was fun. We struggled with the mattresses being too soft, there wasn't a safe in the room and the hotel didn't have umbrellas for rainy weather. The rooftop bar was meh - they didn't have many drink or food options.

Location is great for vesterbro/downtown, but rooms do not have a safe or refrigerator and the towels are old and worn. Breakfast buffet is mediocre compared to several others in Copenhagen.

Very comfortable, nice breakfast . If you are staying more than a couple of days, upgrade to deluxe room as the rooms are somewhat small. Very convenient location next to train station and Tivoli gardens, walking distance to museums and shopping.

Perfect location adjacent to central train station and walking distance to all the popular neighborhoods. Our original room was much smaller than expected/pictured and was missing some of the amenities. After 2 nights, we were able to switch to a new room in the same class, which was much more spacious and looked exactly like the photo. Comfortable bed, nice staff, cool decor.

We stayed in the “cosy” room, which was indeed quite compact for two people, though that was expected from the description. While the size was fine for a short visit or one person, we did notice a few areas where the experience could be improved. The hallways could have been tidier, and although housekeeping visited our room, amenities in the room weren’t replenished during our stay. Interactions with staff varied - some were warm and helpful, while others were less so. With a few adjustments in cleanliness and consistency of service, this could be a much more enjoyable stay.

I would absolutely stay at the Grand Joanne again. The room was warm, stylish, comfortable; the location is terrific, right next to central station, Tivoli Gardens, Glyptoteket, Planetarium and 500 places to eat within 10 blocks radius. The rooftop dj's were terrific and we enjoyed Aperol spritzers and met some fun people from Sweden on holiday. Rooftop shuts down immediately when it rains but then they move the party downstairs to the bar/restaurant. fantastic cocktails and excellent service. One of the finest hotels we've stayed at in recent years. Next to our lovely accommodations the staff was the best thing about Grand Joanne. Everyone from the front desk to the bartenders, the servers and cleaning staff were absolutely 5 star. Tak!
