The staff was great but the hotel needs an update, the carpets have an old musty smell throughout the hotel. Very convenient location from the airport and the main road into Des Moines.

I've stayed at the Hampton Hotel for the past ten years and haven't had any issues. However, during this business trip, the weather was extremely cold, so I had to keep the heater on all night, and the fan was quite noisy.

The room was very clean, the bed & pillows were comfy, and the HVAC unit was quiet. We had an early am flight & left before their breakfast hours, however, they were very kind and prepared to-go breakfasts for us. They took us to the airport & picked us up after our vacation. The entryway area was extremely clean when we arrived. The lady at the desk was courteous and knowledgeable. The breakfast was the standard motel breakfast. The desk help was mopping and vacuuming the entry way in the morning. Very nice.

The first room we were assigned smelled bad. We asked for a different room. The second room had an egg on the floor behind the foot rests. Not a clean place. Staff did not seem to really care.
