Great location-Beautiful property!

Beautiful,historic hotel in a great location. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are so large and the property is beautiful. This was our second stay at this hotel and we will stay here again.

LOVE this hotel, location, and service

We were there to catch a couple Detroit Tigers games. We had an amazing room — a suite with views of the river as well as the Detroit Skyline. Once the valet parked our car, we walked to restaurants as well as Comerica Park. Also within walking distance of Ford Field (Detroit Lions) and Little Caesars Arena (Detroit Pistons, Red Wings, and concerts) and Greektown/casino. This was our third stay and we will be back again. Also, the area surrounding the hotel is safe; we walked back to the hotel after a night game.

Staff was very accomodating - we were allowed into our room an hour early, which enabled us to get there before the Lions game crowd dispursed. Great server/bartender for a drink and bite before attending a wedding. We did not make use of the shuttle, as the streets were packed and under construction, but it's good to know that it is available. Large room with everything you need. Perfect!

Staff was very friendly. The thermostat in the room did not seem to be working. It was extremely hot in the room during the night which was very uncomfortable. There was clearly a wedding happening that night with loud music past 1am that could be heard in the room.

We had a great stay there. Our room was large, and staff was very kind and courteous. This is a bit of an older hotel so it's not Five Star but it's very comfortable. They could use a little bit of help on their pillows. They are very big and firm and not very comfortable. Would have really appreciated just one or two feather pillows. But overall a good comfortable hotel in a good location, I thought it was a good value for your money

Beds were comfy and the living space was clean. The separate sleeping and living room was nice! However, the bathroom was old and very dingy. Mold spots on ceiling and tile but it felt clean, just didn’t look clean. Valet service was top notch!

I had a wonderful stay at the Atheneum Suite Hotel in Detroit. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly. The suites are incredibly spacious, clean, and well-designed — much larger than what you typically find at other hotels. The bed was very comfortable, and I loved the little touches that made the room feel more like a home than just a place to stay. The location is also perfect — right in the heart of Greektown. It’s easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and entertainment, and the complimentary shuttle service to downtown spots like the stadiums was a huge plus. What stood out most was the combination of comfort and hospitality. Everyone I interacted with went out of their way to make sure my stay was enjoyable. I’ll definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in Detroit and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
