We were in Detroit for a concert at Ford Field. This was something that was "nearby" (about a 10 min drive/20 min walk) & we figured it was just 1 night so we didn't want to pay for too much. Considering it was a Quality Inn, the price was more than we expected but I'm guessing there was a surge in price due to the concert being in town. Check-in was quick, but they didn't even ask for ID (just my name) which was already making me skeptical. Now onto the room. As soon as you get in, you get a nice whiff of urine. I get that this is on the lower end of the scale for hotels, but I've stayed in other hotels similar to this & this was the worst. Even a Red Roof was better. It smelled absolutely terrible and I just couldn't get comfortable. It was so bad that I contemplated just looking for another room, but we knew that wouldn't be a good idea because we wanted to be close by & everything would probably be an insane price. My partner stated that certain parts of the room smelled like throw up. Never staying at another Quality Inn again. Only good thing was that the staff was quick & efficient. Location was decent (we were able to walk home after the concert). Area didn't seem the greatest (a lot of homeless people walking around), but it ended up being fine. Definitely something to keep in mind if you want to stay here (but don't).

My stay was very uncomfortable, there was dirt in the corner of the baseboard, there was a little odor, the top blanket had lipstick on it, there was paper towels by the little fridge, there was hair in the sink.. I had no option but to stay here, I booked on line. I arrived around 3pm I had an outing at 7pm, and I left at 5am.

Minor details made our stay a little iffy. There was a sucker stick on the floor next to the TV stand (not from us), and a Q-tip in the bathroom sticking out from behind the sink (not from us). Just a little fine tuning and the place would be great!

I didn’t experience any food but the room was dingy and the toilet was loose almost fell off twice. The bed was also not bolted down and when both me and my partner (420 lbs max) sat on the edge the bed almost fell on top of us. For the price I thought we would have gotten a better room. Wont be I don’t again and I wont recommend.

Husband and I came from out of town. Having to be at hospital early for a procedure. Neighborhood in area made us feel unsafe. Wishing we had protection. The room we was given in back of building with people hanging out on porch with lawn chairs. Night stand had a goop of something on it that i placed my hand in very disgusting. We called to have pizza delivered as we didnt feel safe in the area. Morning vould not come fast enough.

This was the worse Quality Inn that I have ever stayed at. The adveristement stayed there was a gym located on site, which is one of the reasons we booked it, only to find out there is no gym. The room was very dirty. Someone's toenails were in our towels, there were flies in the bathroom, no hot water for the shower, the bed was falling apart, the channels on the TV were pitiful, the curtains had paint all on them, the toilet seat was falling off as there were bolts missing, electrial outlets were in bad shape and falling off the walls, there was no security access card functionality to get to the 2nd floor where we were staying, there was rust and mold in the ceiling near the door in our room, there was mold on the oranges at the continental breakfast. Overall, worst stay ever!!!

I was very displeased while staying at the Quality Inn. Dirty towels, linen and carpet. Our first room smoke detector kept beeping. They moved us to a second room. That room lost power. It’s also not in a great part of Detroit. I didn’t feel safe walking back the hotel from the Tigers game.

The front desk person was pleasant and helpful. At first, she gave us a room at the end of a long corridor. It was furthest away from the front desk. It was in the rear of the building. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The room was large, there were several windows. One of the windows was sealed with a black tape. That window had a large group of black gnats in the top corner. I guess there was an ongoing leak and the area remained damp, which allowed the bugs to flourish. At night, if I stayed there I am certain I would have been bitten. Instead we changed rooms, There was a rear entry to the building, that door was broken and anyone could pull it open without a key card. It did not convey a felling of safety. Also, the curtains in both rooms were dirty and stained. The bathrooms were both clean and there were a good number of clean towels and wash cloths. The beds were clean and the linens were clean too. This is my first time staying in a hotel with doors that open to the outside. I would not book this type of room again.
