The food staff was very rude. No reservation, first come first serve. Staff was rude and after waiting for an hour for dinner, they said to wait in lobby. Tried to fix mistake after going to front desk. They made reservation 2 days later, when we arrived staff was again rude out said with an attitude, oh you're in the corner and pointed, didn't even bother walking us to table. Spending a lot of money, will never return to rui resort. They need to take school for manners and class. Never again. Don't bother with this resort. Shops at resort are way overpriced. 50.00 for sunscreens. Food not worth it

During my stay the 1st night room lost power. call service desk to report and they had someone come and repair. out for about 2 hrs.Last night in room lost power again due to transformer maintenance. out for about an hour.

We have stayed at Riu resorts before so we were really excited to be staying at another, but this place was very underwhelming. The food was okay, the distance from the new part of resort and to the beach was annoying. There was a ton of construction taking place and it was very loud at all times of the day. Specially during breakfast...Staff was fine, but nothing over the top. Overall I would not stay at this particular Riu again.

Staff was great food was good could always find something @ buffet construction all day loud and the way dinning was set up in restaurants was awful had to wait in line @4:30 to get a table @6 pmsome restaurants were closed so its only most night and no late night options overall

The property is definitely a drive and a little in the middle of nowhere but honestly well worth it. Had an amazing time there and was very relaxed.

It was a nice big resort. The entertainment at night was really good. The food in the buffet was what I expected, not the best, but I always found something to eat. The restaurants were hard to get into because they got fully booked super early and they didn’t take reservations a day early. The drink options were not good, even the syrups they used for the drinks tasted too artificial. I wished they had better options for whiskey, Vodka, and tequila, I couldn’t believe they didn’t have Cacique their most popular rum. Regardless of those things, I had a wonderful time there. I love this country and its people the excursions were amazing and unforgettable. I would come back.

We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at the RIU Guanacaste.The weather was great and the resort was very pretty.We just would like to see a few more restaurants that offered sit down dining without buffets.The food was good not exceptional.The beach was not the prettiest but we enjoyed the pools.the staff was very nice

The staff were amazing and made my preschooler feel so welcomed. The food was incredible across the board. Amazing house keeping service. The prices for snorkeling were incredible for what we got. Just an amazing time overall.
