Very good option in Florence

The hotel felt like a quite luxorious 4* hotel. Everything was nice but in some parts you can see that the place is getting a bit old. Very friendly staff.

This is a great place to stay in a hotel with beautiful traditional style. High ceilings, marble baths, attractive dining room with a great buffet breakfast. Lots of hot water, great beds, and very quiet even though just a couple of blocks from the train station. The staff was exceptional, everyone was very helpful. Giovanni helped everyone with their bags and they are happy to call a taxi. We preferred staying in this hotel that has preserved its history over very modern hotels that mostly look alike. If we visit Florence in the future, we will stay here again.

Traditional hotel in good location

The hotel is in a good location, very near the railway station and an easy walk into the central tourist area. It's a traditional, well appointed hotel with very efficient and friendly staff. Some people might consider it old fashioned, but in a good way! Breakfast was good too.

This hotel is a very short walk to train station, which is convenient. Hotel was clean, staff was helpful and room was beautiful. They have a very nice area for breakfast and the morning staff was very efficent. What i didnt like: the bar area was not staffed in the evening and some evenings we waited awhile before someone was available to help us.

Top of the line hotel in Florence.

Excellent hotel and beat our expectations. The staff was amazing! The breakfast was high quality. The hotel is just 5 mins walk from the station. The room was excellent. Hotel is just minutes away from all the Florence places to see or to visit Pisa. Made our Florence trip memorable.

My meal and service for dinner was terrible. The salad course and main course were served together. No dressing on the salad and fish was full of bones , skin and scales. Breakfast buffet was great.

First time in Florence!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was lovely, high ceilings, heavy patterned curtains and carpeted, traditional style with dark wood. Quiet. Had patio area with ample seating. Location was ideal for main train station and tram to and from the airport (€1.70 each way about 20 mins) and walking distance to main attractions. Entering street from McDonalds corner can be busy and lots of people loitering but was never approached or harassed. Recommend entering from top of street (KFC) corner as much quieter. Hotel gates locked at night after 10ish so collect room key from a secure box but we never used it. Hotel was v popular with tourists from all over the world and reception staff were helpful and busy answering all the usual holiday queries. Small bar/seating area which we used -ask reception and they will send staff for your drinks order. Breakfast buffet was the usual offerings and was the same each day!
