I loved the location . The staff were also accommodating. Breakfast was sumptuous and provided for many options. The only problem I had was the sheets and the bed. The bed was too hard, the sheets were rough to the skin and so thin and there was only one pillow for each person. Most hotels I’ve stayed in Italy provided at least two pillows for each guest.

This is a wonderful hotel. Great location. Lovely staff, nice room and nice breakfast and amazing restaurant staff. The hotel is a little dated from a style perspective - but it is old world charm! The only downside was there was a drip in our toilet that although they sent people to try to repair, it was never fixed. Even with the dripping toilet, we would stay again!

As a solo traveler in Europe, I have found that I can book fancier hotels than I normally would if I am willing to stay in a room that has a twin or double bed. There are often such rooms in older European hotels. This place was spectacular in terms of the decor. I don’t know what you call it, baroque, damask, or what. But the linens on the bed match the chair and the window treatments. There was a turn down service where they put a nice mat on the ground in front of your bed with slippers. Breakfast was very good, but of course the Italians are not known for their big breakfast. There were lots of options, however. The fresh fruit was plentiful. The check-in and checkout were slow. Either they just expect you to wait or they need more staff. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay a lot. And if you’re a high-end shopper, you are right smack in the middle of the fanciest shopping district, with Van Cleef and Ariel, Armani, Gucci, and all of the rest of them right there on the same street right next door. Fanciest shopping Street in Florence.
Beautiful single room for solo traveller. Shower is the European bath style.

Loved our stay at Hotel De La Ville! Right in the center of Florence but super quiet,,best of both worlds. Easy walking distance from all main sites. Valet parking was super easy, and the service was top-notch. The place is elegant, cozy, and the breakfast was amazing. Would definitely stay here again!

This property is wonderfully located for all options of things to do and see throughout Florence, as well as being easy to reach. The onsite parking was a tremendous convenience for us. Even better than the location was the wonderfully polite and helpful staff. The classically styled rooms were large, accommodating and very quiet. Large opening windows were a plus during the day and well designed with dark curtains for sleeping comfortably. The neighborhood was fantastic with some of our best dining experiences practically across the street. We will look to return on our next trip to Florence.

Very nice hotel. This was our favorite of our European trip. The room was elegant and large with two levels. They have a nice happy hour. Only downside was a temporary plumbing issue that left some rooms without water or reports of murky water. They worked to fix it. I would still go back.

The hotel was centrally located and just a 7 min walk from Duomo and was just about 10 min (by taxi) from the main train station of Firenze Santa Maria Novella. Many great restaurants were within a 10 min walk. The hotel staff assisted us with reservations at restaurants and were very accommodating our entire time there. They always greeted us when we walked in. Their breakfast was very good as well. I would stay there again if I went back to Florence.

The location is great , also the hotel looks beautiful but it is in old fashion way in compare with the other hotels it is less amenities, we got two superior rooms but I believe one of them is not superior and air conditioning did not work

My sister and I spent a week here as we explored Florence and the Tuscan areas nearby. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, walking distance to the Duomo, galleries, museums, the Ponte Vecchio, and to tons of restaurants. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel breakfast was fantastic, and on the days we had to leave super early on tours, the staff provided us with a bagged breakfast. The daily happy hour was a great way to wind down before heading out for dinner. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
