One night in Golden

Nice place! Close to a craft brewery with good beer and patio. It would have been good if there was someone enforcing the quiet hours rule, as the people above us were being quite loud until 3:00 am.

This may have been the worst and tiniest room I have ever had. I nearly broke my wrist when I took a face plant falling from the tall, narrow, poorly designed, stairway in the room. The bed was in the tiny loft with the whole left side against the wall with no room for it to fit differently. Further, I could hear every word of the neighboring room's conversations, etc coming from the vent near the ceiling. Presumably the 'intercom' works both ways. A horrible night.

Nice lodge, but a few misses.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as we were travelling through BC. It's a lovely lodge. It's clean and in good condition. The beds are comfortable. The rooms do not have individual temperature controls but we were comfortable and a space heater was available if you wanted it. We had a loft and the floors in the upper section are ridiculously squeaky. It looks like they laid pine siding down as flooring. The sound proofing is not all that great so you can hear the people next door walking in their loft too. The only other disappointment was that none of the outdoor spaces were open for public use.

We had a very comfortable stay in a picturesque setting of this lovely and unique hotel. I liked the idea of pin entry and the breakfast and hot drinks bar 24/7. I would definitely stay here again!

Basic hotel, nothing more. Room was quite small but adequate for a night. Bed ok but it was too warm in the room at night for my liking and I couldn't see anywhere to regulate the heat. The window opens but Golden has trains running through 24/7. There are earplugs provided, not sure if it's for the trains or because you hear the TV from the the other rooms? Online check in takes a while and I still had to call to get the code and details for my room. Also had to email to get the receipt. The person at the front desk did her best to avoid eye contact or any interaction.

Upper floor units are supplied with air through a large air supply duct with absolutely no acoustical separation between rooms. So anything, and I mean anything your neighbor does at any time during the day or night you will hear as if they are in the same room as you, The air supplied by this system is not controlled through the room and is set at a low temperature. To compensate the hotel supplies a small residential space heater but due to the large volume of the room it takes hours to get to a comfortable temperature.
