Gjerrild is located at the tip of the nose of Djursland, i.e. with coastline on several sides. You can look forward to wonderful days of swimming and fishing, which you can reach on foot or by bike. Further inland on the peninsula you will find hilly beech forests and the disused Sostrup Castle monastery, tranquil lakes and abundant wildlife. The area around Gjerrild is not overcrowded. Visit the Mols Bjerge National Park in the southern part of the peninsula and experience the beautiful nature on a hike. You can also drive to Grenaa and visit the Kattegat Centre and experience the city on the Kattegat.
