Some hits and misses

Checked in for the second time in the last 2 months. The overall impression is still positive mainly because of the design, hardware and facilities of the hotel. The spa was as good and the therapist were just even better. Again, recommend hotel guests to try their services if time allows. Breakfast at the restaurant were quite good and enough staff waited to serve you, even they hosted a group of guests attend a wedding there and made the place a bit noisy. The hotel lobby were less staffed may be due to Chinese New year holiday. No staff to show you to the room. The front desk did not confirm what's included in my booking. And worst of all, the bath tub had a black ring probably due to the careless cleaning by the house keeping staff. And that was the hotel's worst part for my two visits.

Gorgeous Hotel with some minor concerns

The hotel outlook is very exceptional, a robotic design. It situated opposite to Canton Fair and 5 minutes to subway station. We are very pleased with hardware of the hotel from its room layout to amenities offers. Everything you need (gym, indoor heating pool...） is basically there and the Spa is exceptional. The service qualities varies. The front office is very accommodating to change my room after I 'complain' about the first room being too warm (25C). The new room is cooler and facing the river and the city that feel much better. The housekeeping missed my request two times and poor in communication skill ( I speak their language). The dinner buffet in the restaurant was good for the first night and went down rapidly in the second night when more quests were dinning there (still less than 50 full) . No one take care the beverage corner and it was such a mess that I actually clean up for them. The dilemma is that the restaurant food and service is better when its empty but the ambience felt cooler (the lounge with great singer in the evening had only 2-3 guests there) , and when it has more guests to warm up the atmosphere the food and services cannot keep up. These are minor defects for me and happens in almost any hotels. I still recommend this hotel even if you are not attending the trade fairs nearby. The location is not as far from the city centre and takes only 20 minutes by subway to Canton tower and the new city area. If you find the prices of restaurant in the hotel way too expensive (and they are) you can check out the building above the subway stations. They have a cinema, Subway sandwich, another Chinese restaurant and a few smaller food outlets.

Very nice hotel, good and heloful staff, clean facilities. Internet connection for business use too slow, spa (steam bath and sauna) should be renewed. Over all a very nice and highly recommended hotel.

Eine Top-Adresse direkt neben dem Messe-Gelände von Guangzhou. Für Touristen ist ein Hotel im Zentrum sicher idealer. Für Geschäftsreisende ist dieses Hotel jedoch top. Die Messe ist in 3 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Super schöner Wellness-Bereich und tolles Frühstück. Service und Hotelausstattung sind top.
