Good location. Short walk to Canton fair.

I must have been given the smokers room. I do not smoke. Smokers stench in the room 1008 and a leaking toilet. Not very clean, in need of some repairs.

Past it's best

The hotel is well situated for canton fair but atrocious wifi renders it of little value to the business traveller. The room was grubby although bedding was freshly laundered. It's in a poor stabeard of repair; my window would not close, light fitting hanging off wall and a light that could not be turned off. Best avoided in my opinion.

Easy acssesss to canton fair

Great acssess to canton fair but hotel wasn't good and it was so noisy specially at the night and even midnight as the next building was a trade and their clean hours was started at the night time. The management of the hotel was so poor as well as the service and also the room quality.

Disappointing Stay

This hotel has a problem supplying hot water. Had to move rooms because the shower had no hot water. Same problem occurred in the second room. Breakfast was not good. Cold food and limited range. Nothing much around the neighbourhood. Was there for an exhibition close by and had to catch the train to find a decent restaurant. Check-in was slow. Disappointing stay.

YiWi Stay

The room was very ordinary and not worth the money paid. I booked a superior king room, glad I didn't go for a cheaper room The room was extremely dated, quite dirty, no tea or coffee ( there was a kettle though). The Wi-Fi was poor at best and the food the same each day and very plain. The only thing going for this stay was the closeness to the fair.

Filthy Rooms, Rude Staff!

I arrived at the hotel @ 8.00 pm at night to check in after a long flight. When I asked the receptionist that spoke very good English the Bar & Restaurant hours she said that they closed at 9.00 pm! Both were already closed and there was no way of even getting a Beer or anything. I then got to my room via the lift that was basically accessed through a back door of the Hotel. The "Suite" room I had booked was absolutely Filthy Dirty, there was paint bubbling and peeling off the ceiling throughout the room and the shower screen and floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. It was the sort of shower where you would definitely have to wear some sort of footwear to avoid getting Tinea. There was mould growing around the bathroom sink and the toilet hadn't been cleaned either!. I rang the reception and they sent a staff member up to inspect and she seemed to think that it was acceptable (to later find out that this person was actually the cleaner). I refused to stay in that room so they showed me two other rooms that were just as bad as the first! When I asked for a refund the staff member on the front desk was very rude towards me and she now couldn't understand any English. I would advise to find alternative accomodation and would not ever recommend this Hotel to anyone!

Hotel near Fair walking distance. Building is actually an office, partial convert to hotel. No security guards at lobby. Lift to rooms are shared with offices. Room smell awful. Just for a short stay. Not worth the amount. Will not consider for 2nd trip back to this hotel.

Free Room Upgrade

Receptionist understand English,and gave us free upgrade room. Allow us to check in even before the time so we can rest. Bedding is very comfortable and super king bed. Receptionist also help us to write chinesse word for places that we want to go so it easier for taxi driver

Nice hotel close to Canton Fair

They upgraded us to the suite, the suite is clean and nice view. The hotel is very close to Canton Fair, 3-5 minutes walk to Metro station.

Mildew Issue in Two Rooms

We had to change rooms twice because of the poor air circulation which cause mildew residue on the vinyl wall decoration. The hotel was reasonable with our request to change rooms because the smell and air quality. However, we did get a more suitable room....but this doesn't take away that mildew was a problem for the previous two rooms.

A decent little hotel.

The location is very close to Canton Fair and the Metro where you can find plenty Chinese fast food and to cross under the other 2 halls. The only issue would be the hot water for the shower. I turned on the water heater for 15 minutes and got only 2-3 minutes of hot shower before the water cold again. On the 2nd day I turned it on for 30 minutes, got a minute or two of extra hot water. So, don't expect to have a long hot shower to soothe your aches after walking at the Canton Fair. The bottom glass door hinge of the glass shower wasn't sealed properly so water was everywhere in the bathroom. Everything else was acceptable, the wall was probably a bit thin, the Wi-fi was OK, My room offers 2 pair of slippers, a water heater to make tea and coffee, and 2 complimentary bottle of water which refilled daily. There is a small K-mart below the main floor that you can access from outside the hotel. I bought a couple of breads everyday to munch on during my Jet Lag time. There are 2 restaurants, 1 on the main floor next to the lobby and the other one is only the 5th floor. My favorite one would be the one that is on the main floor for breakfast, tea, lunch, and dinner. Very well cooked with decent portion, and the 2 little girls speak English. The restaurant on the 5th floor is a tad more expensive but offers more selection, and the staffs don't speak English. Overall, the hotel is quite pleasing. I won't bring my kids to stay there due the hot shower issue.

GOOD FOR BUSINESS ONLY...

UPON CHECK-IN WE WERE GIVEN A STANDARD ROOM INSTEAD OF A SUITE ROOM. WE WERE ALREADY INSIDE THE STANDARD ROOM AND COULD NOT BELIEVE IT IS A SUITE ROOM. WE WENT BACK DOWN THE RECEPTIONS TO ASK AND THEY SAID IT IS INDEED A STANDARD ROOM ONLY AS IT IS WHAT WE BOOKED FOR AS FAR AS THEIR RECORDS ARE CONCERNED. ITS GOOD THAT WE TOOK OUT OUR PRINTED COPY OF THE RESERVATIONS AND POINTED THAT IT CLEARLY STATES " 1 SUITE ROOM". FINALLY THE RECEPTIONS AGREED TO MOVE US TO SUITE ROOM. WOW...BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SUITE ROOM AND STANDARD ROOM, MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE. WE WILL BOOK SAME SUITE ROOM WHEN WE COME BACK FOR CANTON FAIR. HOWEVER, DON'T EXPECT ANY HOTEL FACILITIES LIKE SWIMMING POOL, SPA, GIFT SHOP OR GYM...NOTHING LIKE THAT HERE.CONSIDER YOUR STAY FOR PURELY BUSINESS ONLY AND YOU WILL BE SATISFIED.

Experience about Hotel or Expedia

While booking we have selected Twin bed option and paid for the same. But got King bed. Then we raised a complaint to Expedia, who replied with unavailablity of the same. But at hotel we got Twin bed easily with extra payments which we had already paid to Expedia. Breakfast was below expectations.

Nice if you don't mind cigarette smoke

Pleasant hotel, good service and clean room. The only problem was the cigarette smoke that occasionally drifted through the air con. Apart from that, good overall experience.
