Great hotel in peaceful area. Easy to walk to from the rope/cable cars. I didn’t realize that the photo of the hotel with the pool that has sitting area in a circle is not a pool, it is just a water feature/fountain with a hot foot bath on the side. Also the spas here are gender separate and traditional onsen with no clothing allowed. They have spa service onsite but it fills up quickly. We got to enjoy the 2 massage chairs for free, which we absolutely loved. Our room had a private onsen bath on the balcony which was great!! It was only big enough to fit 1 person, FYI. Buffet dinner included alcoholic beverages as well. Thank you for a great stay!
This was my first time staying in Hakone, and I’m so glad I chose this hotel. The location was perfect for me—convenient and within walking distance to the cable car and the lake cruise. The views were absolutely breathtaking, with the public and private onsen baths. An unforgettable experience.
This property is exceptional. The staff and service was amazing as well as the dinner and breakfast that was included with our stay. We enjoyed the hot baths immensely and only wished we would have been able to stay longer. Highly recommend.
The stay was very nice except that since we stayed for three nights, we felt that the Breakfast & Dinner dishes should have been different but unfortunately they were the same everydAY.
This was a wonderful, relaxing hotel. They provide a robe and pajamas (my descriptions) that you can wear around the hotel (even to dinner). The dinner buffet requires reservations but was tasty. The hotel is located right by the pirate ship ferry and the ropeway (over the mountain) but there are not any other restaurants or shops nearby. They have some rooms with personal soaking tubs on the patio (awesome) and the public bath was also amazing. The public path requires tattoos to be covered up, but you can buy a 'sticker' at the front desk.
We had such a lovely and relaxing stay. We lucked out with good weather during our stay. We were here for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean. We had a view of the lake and outdoor bath which was great. Both dinner and breakfast buffet were great with lots of options. We also enjoyed the foot bath. The hotel has a shuttle which runs at certain hours make sure to inquire and sign up for this as we only used it on our way out and it was much more pleasant than the public bus from Odawara station. There is a walking path/ trail along lake (opposite direction of moto Hakone ) which we found on our last day. Wished we found it prior as we were able to walk a long ways along the lake.
Perfect view from room. Buffet dinner is quite good but breakfast is mediocre. The reataurant caters mostly to foreigners (bacon, sausage, deep fried food or Chinese dumplings) and thats why for those looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, this is not for you. Service is excellent and we enjoyed our stay overall. Only choose lake side view though.
This is our second stay here at this hotel. We loved it so much last year that we had to return this year. The staff is excellent, the food at the buffet was delicious, our room was comfortable and even more so with the outdoor hot tub made it lovely. I had several shiatsu massages at the hotel wellness area with wonderful massage persons. I would highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel is so wonderful and the staff are genuinely so helpful and lovely to interact with. The breakfast and the dinner were phenomenal and shouldn’t be missed. The private open air bath is a fantastic option for people with tattoos.
This is a wonderful resort that is family friendly and which goes out of its way to make newcomers to Japanese culture feel welcomed to join in with traditional casual clothing and pijamas provided and instructions on how to use them. Do schedule a massage while you are here to relieve stiff muscles and stimulate circulation after a long flight. One of the best massages and facials I've had. Breakfast and dinner buffet is excellent too with a mix of traditional Japanese and western options.
Stayed with 3 adults and 2 kids under 4 years old. Incredible service and food. The open air onsen is beautiful. Our room had a patio onsen that was beautiful as well. Attendants put out our futons while we were at dinner and spa had really reasonable pricing.
Communication prior to arrival was clear and best of all - the hotel is walking distance from the ropeway/pirate boat station. So convenient after all of the transit to get to the lake. Thank you for the outstanding stay!
Best hotel I ever stayed! The food is amazing and the hot spring is wonderful. Great service and very friendly staff! Almost feel like staying at a 5 star resort.
