Location in a peaceful location bus stop 2 minutes walk. People at reception are very friendly specially Khadim. Double bed room size was bit smaller only good for one person. Rest was ok didn’t have any problem

No AC in the room, carpet in the bedroom was in bad condition, room is very small. Tiles in the bathroom need repairs. No conditioner or lotion, same shampoo, body wash and hand soap (weird). Convenient located near the train station and good amount of food options around. Non smoking hotel however when you open your windows for ventilation you do receive all the smoke from people smoking around.

Good for a short stay

We booked this hotel for three nights. Hotel is located next to the park which was very nice. Location is excellent, short walk to the center or St. Pauli area where is a lot of great cafes and restaurants. Room was a bit old already, but clean and tidy. For this price room was actually quite big! Room was minimalistic and harmonious, there was not anything unneccessary. We liked a bit japanese style low bed, but unfortunately bed and pillows were very bad quality. There is no AC in the room and gladly there was not warm weather outside because keeping the window open you will hear a lot of noise from outside all night. Shower needs updating. Breakfast was small but enough to start the day.

Room was worn out with uncomfortable bed, room had very strong smell and thus window should have been kept open but since there was church nearby with bells banging many times in an hour, it was impossible to sleep window open.

The night staff did not speak English and if they did were not at all helpful. the night desk staff on duty Sep 5th in the early morning refused to get me a taxi which I had asked for earlier, told me to try taking the train, pointing me to the door (all done with emotion and anger seemingly towards me). I went next door and immediately got the taxi from the night desk person at the next hotel, who had no problem at all. The other staff were great.

A passable hotel in a very walkable location. Negatives: - There was mold in the shower. - The rooms are very small, hard to even walk around in. - The rooms are very basic with no décor and feel sort of cobbled together with shoddy repair jobs. - The rooms are very loud, you can hear lots of noise from outside (sirens from emergency vehicles are relentless in Hamburg). Positives: - The hotel staff was pleasant and accommodating. - The breakfast buffet is a nice option to have in the morning. - The location is great, walkable to many things. Verdict: Might be worth staying at if the price is right (cheap) and you care more about being in a good location than you do about your hotel room. If staying in a nice hotel is important to you, this is not the place.

Not a nice room at all, stay somewhere else

Would rather have stayed in a hostel. Not enough towels provided in the room, had to request the right number of towels at front desk. Room and especially bathroom are in dire need of renovation. Repairs needed in various places (see photos). The hotel does not take pride in its rooms. The front desk is stated as 24hr in the description but frequently there is a sign at the desk saying they will be back in a few minutes, on one occasion this was around 20 mins. That's not 24hr then. Window handle missing to one of the windows. Would not choose to stay here again and think it has also put me off of the Novum brand.

Etwas enttäuscht

Wir haben 3 Zimmer gebucht (Familie) und sind quer durchs ganze Hotel verteilt worden. (Wir haben dann festgestellt, dass es anderen Gruppen ebenso erging). Die Zimmer sind sauber, jedoch sehr klein. Es war sehr warm im Zimmer (unterm Dach) und es gab nur 3 Dachfenster. Das ist bei Regen einfach nur blöd. Leider haben die Zimmer auch keinen Kühlschrank. Das Frühstück war vorhanden. Mehr gibts dazu leider nicht zu sagen. Alles in allem können wir dieses Hotel leider nicht empfehlen.

Einfach unschlagbar gut gelegenes Hotel (St. Pauli, Landungsbrücken und Innenstadt fußläufig erreichbar). Die Einrichtung schien etwas älter sein, wurde jedoch gut gepflegt und das eher kleine Zimmer war sehr sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet war nicht extravagant, war aber absolut ausreichend mit genügend Auswahl, so dass für jeden was dabei war und jeder satt wurde. Einziges Manko an diesem Hotel ist die fehlende Parkmöglichkeit, so dass man sich vorher bereits über Parkhäuser in der Nähe informieren sollte.

A conseiller pour un court séjour

L'hôtel en soi est simple mais il y a tout ce qu'il faut, surtout pour un court séjour (2 nuits). La salle de bain aurait besoin d''une rénovation mais c'était propre et fonctionnel. Placé idéalement pour les visites, beaucoup de choses peuvent se faire à pieds et un arrêt de bus juste devant la porte peut vous emmener à St. Pauli et la Reeperbahn. Le petit-déjeuner est très correct, du salé, du sucré, des fruits, des yaourts etc...

Der Zustand des Sofas lies zu wünschen übrig, überall Flecken darauf. Die Dusche hat übberall Stockflecken, ansonsten war das Bad recht sauber. Die Lage zu den Landungsbrücken ist super, man ist zu Fuß innerhalb von 10-15 min da.

Vi hade bokat ett rum för 2 personer men fick ett enkelrum, dock sade receptionisten att det skulle fungera att bo två i rummet. Das Hotel hat seine guten Jahre längst hinter sich. Der Check dauerte etwa eine Stunde, da es mit anderen Hotelgästen Ärger gab und er alles alleine meistern musste. Das Zimmer war sauber aber die Matratzen sehr schlecht und unbequem. Die Temperatur bei der Dusche einzustellen war ein besonderer Akt. Auch der vorhandene Duschvorhang beschreibt das Alter der Räume ganz gut. Wecker nicht nötig, die Zimmer nach hinten werden von der vorhandenen Großbaustelle ab 7 Uhr geweckt. Das Frühstück war sehr einfach gehalten. 5 Tage selbe Wurst, selben Käse, selben Quark und Dosenobst. Rührei oder frisches Obst sucht man vergebens. Kaffee oft lauwarm, alles in allem sieht mich das Novum nie wieder.
