We loved our stay (August 2025) at the Royal And Imperial Belvedere hotel. Our room was great, newly decorated and spotlessly clean. The main dining area is really big and being able to sit outside meant you didn't feel like you were going to the same restaurant for every meal! Lots of fresh food options, the grill and the salad bars were excellent. The causal dining options were also great with a range of family friendly food available. Having a separate bar area from the entertainment means you can choose a more peaceful spot in the evening, or get involved in the fun. The pools are fab - a 50 metre pool on holiday! Even when it was busy it didn't feel busy. Plenty of sunbeds available around the pools or on the peaceful sun terrace. Theres not a lot to walk to nearby and the local beaches are taken up by sunbeds from the bars, but we'd recommend a walk into Koutouloufari for a look round the shops or a drink in the evening.

Pros-The location of the hotel is in walking distance to lots or restaurants, shopping areas and it's easy to catch a cab outside the gate. The food is good! My expectations for this was low because usually the food at all-inclusive resorts are a hit or miss. The resort is clean and seems well maintained. I was surprised with a bottle of wine and dessert was waiting for me with a "happy birthday " that was thoughtful and I appreciated it. Cons-I've traveled numerous places and stayed in ALL-INCLUSIVE and NONE ALL-INCLUSIVE Resorts and never have I ever had to pay to use the safe. Paying 3 Euro's a day to use the safe inside of the room that I paid ALL-INCLUSIVE for is ridiculous. I only found out there was a charge because I kept getting an error once I tried to unlock it and had to call receptionist. I was told I had to come pay and someone will come and unlock it. Once my partner got to the receptionist and told them we were no longer going to use it, the guy said; then they wouldn't charge then and after all it's been less than 24 hrs since we started using it. They came unlocked it, we took our stuff out and they locked it. 1 Euro foe beach towels and 2 Euro's for safe in luggage room. Restaurants and snack bars close at 9:30, Bars close at 1:00 am but there in a mini market that seems to be open late or maybe even 24 hrs. Everything about this hotel was excellent from beginning to end. Check-in and check-out were smooth and convenient; staff were very welcoming. Our family suite was wonderful. We even got a free upgrade to a room with an ocean view! The pools were amazing, water was clean and warm. Sun beds were always available, albeit not necessarily directly in front of the pool in the first row. We didn’t mind because we were travelling with our kids who are teenagers. The food at the buffet was varied, plentiful and delicious. We ate at Imperial Sakura and Kafeino and had a fantastic meal served to us each time. The snack bars also offer a diverse selection from the coveted gyros to burgers and sandwiches, salads, pizza, and fish. Yes, there are a lot of stairs at the hotel and yes, you do have to walk down and up a small hill to get to the ocean beaches. For someone with limited mobility, this may be an issue. Otherwise, we took it as great exercise, even in the Cretan heat and sunshine! Overall, it was a fabulous stay and we would not hesitate to recommend the Belverdere to others.

Positives : * Beautiful location in the mountains with amazing beach views * Very large, spacious resort with lots to explore * Fresh, delicious, and varied food every day * Excellent entertainment with daily shows and activities * Incredible animation team – young, energetic, and friendly * Great family-friendly atmosphere with a Kids Club and safe grounds * Multiple saltwater pools and a dedicated children’s pool * Two on-site mini markets for essentials and souvenirs * Shuttle to the beach runs 3 times a day * Shops nearby and excursion kiosks available * Helpful map and guide provided at check-in Things to keep in mind ⚠️ Lots of stairs between buildings – expect walking ⚠️ Beach towels not included – bring or buy your own ⚠️ Smoking is common outdoors, especially during shows. This is not specific to the hotel but something to keep in mind that smoking is common in Greece. ⚠️ Restaurants require reservations – buffet is the best option Family room was clean and comfortable Minor bathroom issue fixed quickly by maintenance ✅ Overall: Wonderful experience – highly recommended!

A great all in resort with good facilities for all the family. Food was better quality than I expected for an all inclusive. Recommend if you want good value relaxation and have teenagers! Only issue we had was the wastage of paper cups/plates.

Very nice hotel. Amazing views, pools. Check in was very fast. Didn’t like that we need to pay for pool towels. For beach we took a taxi to Stalis beach.
