Facility and rooms are clean, neat and modern. Shopping and beach are close by in walking distance. I had an ocean and Diamond Head view. Diamond head view was obstructed by another hotel. The other hotel is in center view of Diamond Head but we could see both ends. Customer service was top notch. I will definitely return for another visit.

Cons: no free upgrade despite availability, check-in staff terrible and arrogant, had to change rooms, housekeeping terrible as we always had to call for them to clean the room and even then… had to pay for everything including for the beach. Pros: location but mostly the staff at Swell, mainly Matt, Dana, Chris, Ramon.

Its great hotel. The location is great too. Its located on near the Honolulu zoo. Which means less congestion by cars and pedestrians. My oceanfront room was amazing as always. The only negative I have is the windows are single pane. The nose is clear even at night when I am trying to sleep.

Beautiful modern Hawaiian vibe hotel. Nice room, partial ocean view was more than enough of a view. Centrally located near beach, shopping and dining. All within walking distance. Friendly staff. The Swell bar and infinity pool are perfectly designed to offer a safe relaxing atmosphere on site. Highly recommend this hotel for all types of travelers! A+

The bathrooms were very small. The shops and restaurants in the area were nice and convenient. Pool area could be larger to accommodate the size of the hotel. Didn't like that you had to rent a microwave. And our key card kept getting disabled. For the price, the rooms weren't worth it. Please note, ocean front is not truly ocean front. You're across the street from the ocean and your room is on the side for a full view of the ocean. Don't expect to walk out of the hotel and be on the ocean. Not the case.
