Room was bright and spacious with a great view of the beach. Bathroom had a not so pleasant mildewy scent. Hotel staff were absolutely amazing from the moment you drop off your car to the ones you find in the hallways. Wish they served breakfast by the pool or had another restaurant option that served food all day so you didn’t have to leave the hotel however, hotel is conveniently located to a great number of restaurants and has access to an ABC store from the inside of the hotel.

The hotel lobby was impressive — very grand and modern. However, the rooms didn’t quite match the 5-star rating. They were clean and comfortable but fairly average. We stored our luggage at the bell desk, and one of the suitcase wheels was broken in the process. The initial reimbursement offered was unreasonably low and not enough to replace a large checked suitcase. I had to negotiate for a better amount, and even then, it still didn’t fully cover the cost of the new luggage. Overall, I expected better service and accountability from a hotel of this caliber.

Our room was ocean front, and the view was beautiful and amazing! We loved it. However, even though we booked under 3 people, the towels, bathrobes, slippers, glasses, all of it was 2 sets. The shower also made a loud noise like the pipe was about to burst, and although I told the concierge and someone came to fix it, the loud noise came back that night. Having a functioning shower would’ve made our stay much better. We also strongly feel better soundproof windows would be nice, as at night all the sounds from Kalākaua Avenue were very loud and disruptive to our sleep (especially motorcycles and one night there was someone fighting downstairs). We hope to come back again!

I liked the friendly staff, restaurant options around the property. I didn’t like there were times we had to wait for parking cause it was packed, most of them were being use for valet parking and the car rental company. Would I stay again at this hotel probably yes.

Love this hotel. We stayed at Alohilani for 7 days. The beach, shops and restaurants are all walking distance. You have to check out the Swell Bar which is located by the pool with great music. I thought I was at the club but grown and sexy vibes. The food and drinks we ordered was very good. I didn't get a chance to go to the other restaurants at the hotel as I had my list of places I wanted to check out on the island. The parking is the only thing that I didn't like but with any hotel in Waikiki, you probably would be paying a steep price for valet. You can do self parking at that hotel which is a tad bit cheaper. However, If you are a hotel guest staying there, and there is no parking stall that's not reserved for valet, you can valet your car for the price of self parking. Just FYI, for those who decide to rent a car and staying at Alohilani. Other than that, this hotel and my room was very clean and staff was great and so friendly! Highly recommend!
