Busy hotel

What I liked the most was the location, very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Rooms have a good size and are comfortable and quite new. The problem for me was the breakfast which is good if we talk about the food but the environment is really overwhelming, it is constantly packed with people and there is no room for everyone which makes the experience kind of stressful. It looks like the space for the pool and breakfast weren’t well dimensioned for the amount of guests. I mean it is really busy. Other ruge issue is the parking, there is no parking for all guests. We had to park somewhere else but is very difficult to find a cheap place around to park, very stressful. They should at least make a deal with a parking lot nearby to guarantee a space for their guests. We had to park at the zoo and go there during the night to renew the tickets as the max we can stay is about 4 hours.

Hotel is cramped, old, and very urban. We arrived around 7pm and the parking garage was full. Rooms were small and the elevators took forever. Waited over 10 minutes for an elevator down from the 12th floor. “Ocean View” room was a slice of ocean thru ugly skyscrapers and apartment buildings, and the noise of delivery trucks, honking, and people woke us up early. On the positive, the staff members were friendly, professional and very helpful. Best people were the bellhops and valet. Location is convenient being 2 blocks from the beach with plenty of restaurants and shops. Overall, will not stay in Waikiki again.

We had an overall pleasant stay at Hyatt Place in Waikīkī with convenient access to the beach. The free breakfast and filtered water refill station in the lobby were a big plus. However, the pool was on a smaller size and not even open during our entire stay with no prior notification. Also, our room was not available when we checked in at 3PM and didn’t receive any contact from the front desk like they said they would when taking down our names and contact info. We had to wait until 8PM after dinner and decided to head back to the hotel and asked again. The hotel is also smaller than most others nearby with only 2 elevators so patience will be required when waiting or riding with many stops in between.

The hotel rooms were nice and clean. The location is a short walk to the beach and shopping. The staff was helpful and friendly. However, the pool is not working and we had to use a flashlight to use the bathroom if everyone wasn’t awake because the light-switch is connected to several lights and would wake everyone up.

Only thing I would say that was not good was one the elevators take for ever so plan to wait 10-30 minutes for the elevators. Luckily I wasn’t too high up and took the stairs most of the time. Next I would say seating for breakfast was always crowded they would benefit from more tables or offering a service to bring the food up to your room. We took our breakfast up two days and got lucky to get a table only when we went down exactly at 6:15am. The pool was also closed but we were able to use the neighboring hotels pool. Definitely walkable to everything you need. Also lots of tours available in the area that offer drop off and pick up.

Great location. Less than a 5 minute walk to Waikiki beach and the main strip. Small convenient store (ABC store) next door. Staff was very friendly. I requested early check in of 11am but did not get it. When we arrived we left our bags and Walmart order at the front desk and they kept it and delivered it all to our room when it was ready at 3pm. Room was nice, clean and fit our family of 5 comfortably. We had a nice view from our room window we could see the ocean. Our balcony faced another building but was nice to be able to get some fresh air and hang our beach items that needed to dry. The elevators did take a long time and most times when they finally did come to our floor (7th) they were too full and we would end up having to take the stairs down every day. The pool was under renovations but we were given a key to a sister hotel right next door that we never used because we preferred the beach. The free breakfast buffet was a nice option to have but was exactly that, we didn’t have high expectations for it so we were not disappointed but not impressed either. We only ate there one morning. Overall we would stay there again.

Loved our stay! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Only thing is that breakfast is super busy at 6:30 am already and if you don't get there in the right time you might have to wait for a table. Other than that it was great! Our room was clean and good size. We also used the car rent option from hotel as well a taxi to get to the airport and it all went well.
