I stayed at this hotel for one night prior to heading back to the airport. I would highly highly recommend both the town and the hotel for at least a day or two. I packed so much into the day including an early morning thermal hotspring hike (recommend!), lunch at the taco place in the hotel (yes you read that right - there is a dining hall with multiple choices like a really high quality mall food court), then an ice bike guided mountain bike (honestly a highlight for me - highly recommend), followed by fish and chips dinner, followed by an even drive out to the coast just to check out the ocean and have some lobster type soup. Epic single day and The Greenhouse was an amazing kick off point (oh and they were very accommodating on an early-ish check in - the front desk lady even ran up to check to see if it was ready as she thought the computer system wasn’t updated). 5/5 on all accounts!

I honestly would have given excellent on the hotel but didn't for only 2 reasons. 1. I tried to change my reservation by one day less than 24 hrs after booking and they wouldn't allow. I know it is a no cancellation reservation, but even so, most places allow a change withing a few hours. 2. We noticed a smell in the bathroom from the moment we arrived. It wasn't HORRIBLE but we all noticed it. Beds were comfy, staff were kind, breakfast was good, several dining options in hotel, and don't be like us and miss out on the ice cream shop inside hotel.

Everything was good except the service at one of the restaurants of the hotel. IMHO the girl working the food bar was rude. Otherwise great place to stay, good drink selection at the bar. Breakfast was good but lacked bacon or sausage options.

Good location but could have better serviceerience

Good location off the highway. Walkable to the waterfall and hikes. Room was hot and stuffy and couldn't open the window because below me was a balcony where people were smoking until midnight. Staff a bit unfriendly from check-in to bar service.

Close to the hiking trails. You can walk to the geothermal park and the thermal swimming pool. Safe and quiet. Friendly staff. Lots of food options at the food hall and surrounding area. I would stay here again.

Beautiful building and lobby. Chic rooms. The only thing lacking is a super comfy bed but that’s pretty much the case for most Icelandic hotels. Would def stay here again. Food options in the dining hall are amazing.

The hotel offered what it stated, I found it over priced , silly but it bothered me that the web site photo pictures a fantastic latte and a croissant for the continental breakfast and well these are for sale, breakfast is the usual but in the overcrowdwd cafe/shop so you are not sure what you can take and what is for sale. As to comfort and clenliness good.

Only one night here but a lovely spot with a little gift area and a food hall with a good selection. Rooms were clean and perfect with a window seat and a notice board with a map and things to do pinned to it. For some reason as in the other accommodation in Iceland this hotel also doesn’t supply face cloths we recommend bringing one otherwise everything was provided as expected. Would definitely recommend.

Lots of food options! However not one safe thing for someone with a gluten allergy to have … had to go to a different town to find something. They have a breakfast included but it’s just sandwiches or yogurt parfaits which again not safe for gluten free. Other than that a very lovely hotel !
