Beautiful and cheerful holiday home in Javea, Costa Blanca, Spain with private pool for 4 persons. The house is situated in a coastal, hilly and residential area. We stayed at Casa Margot in July 2025 and were extremely disappointed. The listing presents the property as a villa with private pool and seamless outdoor access — but in reality, it’s a downstairs flat with the pool and outdoor kitchen on a different level, only accessible by steep outdoor stairs.This layout is not mentioned clearly in the description and poses serious issues, especially for families. There’s no toilet on the upper level, meaning constant trips up and down slippery steps just to use the bathroom. Our child actually fell and suffered multiple bruises, confirming how unsafe the setup is.To make things worse, my blonde hair turned green from the pool’s chemical imbalance, suggesting poor maintenance. There were also no basic supplies like hand soap or washing-up liquid, despite the high cost.We raised these issues with the property managers and asked for a partial refund — which was refused. We have now escalated this via the VRBO system and our own insurance. This is not a true villa, and the listing is misleading. I would not recommend this property, especially for families or anyone with accessibility needs, until the description and photos are corrected to reflect reality.
You have to go around the building, then up the stairs to the swimming pool area.
Pictures from the advert show the villa with open shutters giving perception that this is a seamless experience. But the flat is in fact not used with shutters down.
