Room 213 is terrible due to a hard closing exterior door positioned a few feet away. It should be a standard protocol for every hotel that no guests should be given rooms next to exterior doors unless the guests are hard of hearing or sleep like rocks. For our family of four, this was beyond aweful. Then, the the last night, hotel guests were fighting outside of our window. It was scary as they were breaking multiple pieces of glass and yelling at the top of their lungs until 1:15am. The Tahoe vehicle next to our window kept coming and leaving and then going in and out of the slamming exterior door. My husband and I were honestly afraid bullets were going to start flying through our window. It was that intense. The elevators reeked of weed, these were disrespectful guests that ruined our stay. I spoke with Stacy the receptionist multiple times and she did the right things of calling the police, and comping our room. In my opinion, one night of comping does not suffice. But it’s the police were involved and that she gave us a partial discount. My suggestion for your hotel would be to involve police much earlier and to somehow, if possible, filter out riff raff. I believe from an elevator conversation, that it was a group of locals in Kansas City that wanted to have a fun staycation.
Everything else besides those big things was wonderful.
