Didn't feel safe here

Pulling into this property it looked very run down. It gave off bad vibes. I didn't feel safe. I couldn't understand the gal behind the desk and had to have her repeat herself several times. She said we could not park upfront and could only enter from the back. Told us nothing about the breakfast or swimming or any other options of the hotel. The room had not been updated in many many years. Had stains all over the walls, lamp shades, floors, peeling ceilings, a weird pained brick wall, smelled funny. I about killed myself in the shower it was so darn slick the tub was curved and when soap was on it I about fell. Thankfully there was a handle to grab on to. The bed was clean, but not comfortable and I swear it was the smallest queen ever. When we left in the morning there was a glass alcohol bottle shattered all over the exit lobby that you had to walk over. Will never stay here again even if you paid me to.

Good for the price

You can’t complain about this place for the price. It was clean and comfortable and staff were all fairly friendly. Nothing close by except for the 2 stadiums and building is a bit run down so could do with a refurb. We used the pool, again needs tidying up/refurbing but was clean and water was maintained. Breakfast wasn’t for us. Microwaveable bacon/sausage/egg ‘biscuits’ but they had toast, porridge,fruit, yoghurt as well and pbjs. We got an uber back into town in the afternoons and enjoyed coming back to a peaceful little bolt hole. The arrowheads stadium over the road will be used for World Cup 2026 so it is potentially in a good spot if it ups its game a bit.

It appears it used to be a Drury Inn. For the most part, it still looks the same. But there are places where it needs a little help: needs some paint touch ups and the area outside on the opposite of the parking lot is really broken and kinda unsafe to be walking in at dark. No local places really to go out to eat. It is very handy, however to stay there when taking in a Royals game! Great views!

Called and asked if pool was open got there and it was not. Wanted conjoined rooms did not get them. It says hot breakfast it was just uncrustables and bagels. Will not recommend.
