This place is rundown and has shady people around. When we go to the hotel the parking area seemed abandoned. There were a few people around that seemed drugged. The cops pulled up in the front because someone had a gun. Our room had no hand soap, breakfast included were frozen sausage breakfast and pb&j sandwiches. Don’t let the photos fool you. It’s nothing like the photos. Did not feel safe.

The remote, WiFi, and A/C did not work. The phone didn't work to dial out or call the front desk. There was no cable and for amount charged there should have been. I had to ask toilet paper and there were no more tissue boxes to issue after blowing my nose a few times.

Weekend get away

Was a super fast walk to the Royals stadium! Hotel was clean and had friendly staff. Only downfall was our room was on the first floor on an end. So, every time someone came or went in the building, we heard every click and bang of the doors which was super annoying at 6am.

Recent Lotus Hotel visit

Yeah, I had a great time at Lotus. I go see the Royals play once or twice a year, and I prefer to stay at Lotus. The place is always clean and comfortable, lobby as well as rooms. My room is always quiet, clean and relaxing. Unlike most hotels these days, room service maintains my room each day, even when I don't ask. The staff is always good to me, too, friendly, helpful and personable. I like the young people who work the front desk as well. I had a little trouble with the Wifi connection this last time, but with my being out of town on a Royals trip, it might have been best for me to not be on my i-pad so much anyway. Lotus by far is the place that I like to stay in Kansas City, mostly because of the people, clean quiet rooms and service. When it comes to a hotel, at Lotus, they have it all figured out!

The property was very clean and the staff was very nice and polite. The facility is a little outdated and a bit rundown on the exterior. My biggest complaint was that the AC in our room was not cold at all! It was a very warm night.

Two night stay.

The front desk told me that smoking in rooms was not allowed. Upon me arriving and entering my assigned room there was two air purifier's running trying to clear the funk out the funky room. I went back to the front desk and reported my find. A representative went and checked the room. I was given another room and upon entering with my baggage, I observed a Marijuana dubie on the heat radiator. I collected the dubie and turned it in to the front desk the next day. The breakfast around 8:30am was very very poor and the microwave oven stop working. The front desk clerk had to work at the front desk and restock the breakfast items ( when time permitted ). The pool is still inoperable.

The tv was powered by the internet and we could not view the weather for our travel nor did we have internet for our phones because of the penetration of the building. We called the front desk and they said they would send a tech but they never showed. At 11:30 we went to bed
