This stay has been amazing! Bed is super comfy (and I’ve had back surgery) took all the back pain away! Host is friendly and accommodating. Beach house was very clean. The stay has been awesome !

I called and booked late at night traveling from Colorado to St. Louis Missouri today. The gentleman was very kind and very polite. Very helpful. When I got there, I did not realize it was in a neighborhood. Easy to find with his directions. The cottage was very cute. You park in a parking lot walked down a little boardwalk over rocks. I did not realize that the cottage was so old. When we walked in there was a distinct musky or maybe a water leak or something’s been closed up maybe because of the age of the building. The gentleman when I mentioned it to him, he did offer to come out and take a look. He said he’s not had anyone complain, but this was a very distinct smell and the heat was on 70 blasting when we got in there and there is air freshener that automatically goes off so I just found that hard to believe. He also said that the beds were extremely comfortable. it’s Chooch twin mattresses on a king bed. They were hard as a rock. The bathtub has a very slow drain so the water almost comes up to your ankle. Maybe the other units in the main lodge is nicer. The layout and design is very cute, but even when I tried to open the window to get some fresh air , I couldn’t open the window because they are super super old and very dirty windows. I probably would not stay again, but the gentleman hospitality was very nice and we greatly appreciated that traveling and being laid at night.

Our stay way great! Silver Heart in was beautiful and was everything that you would expect from an upscale bed and breakfast. The owners went far beyond our expections to make sure we were comfortsble and taken care of. We highly recommend staying there, you won't be disappointed!

Charming and Hospitable

We stay in the Beach House cottage while we were in town for the Chiefs game and really enjoyed the charm and hospitality at Silver Heart Inn & Cottages. Breakfast was served at 8:30 each morning and both days the food was absolutely delectable. Unfortunately it was a bit too cold for the hot tub, with wind chills around -25, so we plan to go back again in the spring or fall to enjoy all their outdoor offerings. I highly recommend giving them a try, you won’t regret it!

Being that it is in a residential area it was a bit noisy but overall it was like something right out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Charles and Amy were wonderful and breakfast was excellent. We would definitely recommend this place. Hope to visit again.

We stayed in the beach cottage that was separate from the main inn. The cottage appeared to have been recently updated. We enjoyed the privacy of the hot tub conveniently located just outside the back door. The cottage was clean and well stocked with all the amenities you'd expect. Hosts were nice, friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to our next stay. Highly recommended!!

Charming Historic Oasis in the City

What a lovely surprise to find this charming historic property in the heart of Independence, MO. Hosts Amy & Charles with daughter Frankie are operating this warm and welcoming inn with every creature comfort for a comfortable, cozy stay. The cabin accommodation was perfect. Extra comfortable bed, laundry, fully functional, well appointed kitchen, full bath with amenities. We enjoyed access to the hottub and use of the fire pit, both perfect for the lovely fall evenings of our stay. The breakfasts were delicious based around locally sourced ingredients, thoughtfully prepared and served with locally roasted coffee. The inn has easy access to conveniences and thoroughfares to the city. Amy & Charles are gracious hosts that clearly have a love of their inn, preserving the history, and sharing their graciousness, Will definitely return to this lovely inn.

Cozy place to stay.

The host was really nice, I loved the historical nature of the B&B. The jacuzzi was lovely. Our room was small but cozy and well-decorated. Overall it was a really great stay.
